Yeah, my wife is in NSW so I think its pretty much the same rule applies for VIC, no?

Thanks once again
IF the new rules are approved say April 2018 they will have a date they come in to affect which may be 1 July 2018, this means that anyone who applies for citizenship from 1 July 2018 would follow the new rules regardless of when their PR was granted. So if someone applied for citizenship 1 month late and the rules changed they would need to be eligible under the new rules.

It all comes down to if they get voted in by parliament. I don't see them going through unless changes are made. In the changes if gives the immigration minister alot of power and NXT will not agree to that - NXT are pretty much the deciding vote to if it goes through or not as Greens and Liberal are against it.

I tried to import it few months ago but it says i cant have my 801 application on two immi accounts. My agent already have my application on hers. I tried calling immigration as well but they werenít helpfull and said i cant have it on two places. Moreover, is the timesheet for 801 grants correct? Thanks in advance.
Tony
To my knowledge you cannot import your partner visa into your immi account. Your agent should be handling everything for you.

The 801 spreadsheet to my knowledge is correct, it is based on the information that everyone has put into it.

anyway the person say she can only check after the 22 months mark..i was like i need to wait for 10 months more to call? and with that she say she gonna terminate the call..beepp beepp..
Being married to an Australian citizens vs a PR does not expedite things.

I think you need to think of it from DIBP's side, which is they must have hundred's of people on a daily basis ringing up to enquire about their various visa progress - I believe the waiting time to speak to an operator is over 1 hour.

Even the ombudsman does not investigate complaints unless you have been waiting longer than the global processing times.

Thank you so much Mish really appreciate it. I am stressed about it and feel like cant talk to anyone about it. It feel so good coming in here and can talk.

Okay, well good thing is I get all the emails from DIBP and I am forward it to my agent so that way i am in the loop and wont feel like if my agent forget it or something lol.

So mostly people are getting their 801 anywhere from 11-15 months these days aye. My eligibility date was 17/04/2017 and i applied on 28/04/2017. Hopefully hear from them in next few months.

There is a granted page as well. Not everyone comes back and updates the spreadsheet when they get the visa granted, which makes it hard for those that are still waiting.

Hello. I just recently stumbled across this forum.. I'm so glad, so much help to be found.

My 801 eligibility is coming up very soon, I'm so sorry this has probably been asked a million times, but I couldn't find the answer (so far) after 2 hours of scroling through.

Is the 801 evidences required the same as on 820? Do we have to do it all over again... get stat decs from all our friends etc etc

Thank you

It's pretty much the same yes, except you most likely won't need to complete a medical and your partner has to fill out a partner stat dec (you can find this on the DIBP website) instead of the 40SP.

All information and supporting documents should detail your relationship from the time your 820 was GRANTED to your eligibility date. Joint bank statements, bills, photos with family, etc. should be dated on your 820 grant date and after. Similarly you, your partner, and your 888 witness statements should also explain how your relationship has progressed in this time period.

My partner's visa was granted yesterday! We sent in our final stage documents in April and had tried to have the process sped up for compassionate reasons in July (long story), but that was denied. Although it now seems to have been granted quite quickly, so we are very lucky. I will update the spreadsheet.

Such a relief. Next week it would have been 3 years since first applying. And along the way we've had bridging visas cancelled and several complications, it has been such a process.

Thanks to everyone who has helped with information and advice on this forum.
