Thanks for replying Keano!

I m from China and my partner is Australian Citizen. I was eligible since Sep 2016 and submitted in the same month.

I have been uploading evidence every two or three months until Nov 2017, maybe should upload again anytime soon....

Do you think giving them a call would get me any answer? Sigh.......

Hello guys,
I applied for my 801 visa in December 2016.In my app I added my son,who in the meantime had 445 visa child dependent. He is 21 years old and he wants to return to Romania(our country of origin)for a few months. The question is whether to be informed emigration, and whether this trip can affect the processing time of our visas.

That's a good question, Con59. My oldest son is 18 and has decided to go to Uni in Alaska. So, when I'm eligible to lodge the 801, he'll be in Alaska going to school. Not sure if that will cause any issues? I wonder if they'll require another FBI check for him...though when I lodge the 801, he'll only have been in Alaska for 10 months.

Anyone have any thoughts or info on this situation?

Dear All,

I would like to share the news my 801 was granted this morning.
Have updated my information in Excel.

820 applied online 02/03/2015
820 granted 15/08/2016
801 applied 19/02/2017
801 granted 01/02/2018

High risk country from China. Married, no kids.
11 months waiting. No agent, no contact or information required before 801 was granted.
I have been uploaded information every 3 or 4 months.
Last time I updated some information was this Monday.

Thank you so much Mish for creating the Excel! The information helps a lot!
I would suggest people who are still waiting to update your information regularly, do not wait until immigration officer requests from you.

Best of luck everyone!

Hey guys.

Reading through a few posts I’ve noticed most peoples 801 visa (PR) have been granted around 12-15 months. We applied on 16 May 2016 and still no decision. I am from Northern Ireland (UK) so “low risk”. My fiancé is now pregnant (YESSS!!!) and it would be amazing to get an answer. Couple of questions. Do you reckon it’s worth calling them and has anyone heard of a waiting time as long as ours? I realise it says up to 21 months and it’s a little unnerving. Thanks in advance :-)
