Some applications are.
If no further info is required, and everything looks genuine, and a decision can be made without any further checking or requests, then it would be a perfect application.

I would expect a migration agent to submit a perfect application. Maybe immigration would prefer that, and let the migration agents do the work of chasing the client for the right information.

Under those rules though, ours would have been rejected...

If that rule goes through, I would expect a bumper time for Migration agents..

It certainly wouldn't hurt! They're only valid for a year, and your past that time already. If immigration need a new one, you'll be prepared It's better than hurrying to get one done in the window immigration gives applicants for additional info.

Oh.. now I got it. I was in the Mygov link which is connected with the ATO but I needed to go directly through the ATO, thanks a lot again

Also, you may happen to know this. I applied for my 820 in October 2016 and it was granted after a few months. At the time my partner who is the sponsor did not need a Police Check and we were never asked for one. Do you know whether he would need to submit a police for my second stage of the visa, when we submit evidence for the 801?

Cheers,
Ejona

Just a quick question... March 2017 I obtained my police cert for the PMV which was granted in the same month. I moved here and married my wife in Sept 2017, then applied for the 820/801. We're still waiting for that to be assessed, so would I need to reapply for a police cert in March 2018?

Thanks!

You probably will need one.

We were asked for one, just before the 820 was granted.

14 May 2016 : 820 Application Lodged (from 300)
04 Aug 2016 : Police Clearance and Form 80 requested
18 Aug 2016 : Police Clearance and Form 80 uploaded
18 Aug 2016 : 820 Visa Granted

I haven't seen a sponsor asked for a police check at second stage, so it would be safe to say no.

Hi all, I've spent all of yesterday reading through this thread as we've finally started working on our 801 application. I know the wait times have increased and are from eligibility date, however, we were eligible to apply in September 2017 but due to a new baby I actually haven't had the time (and head space) to sit down and do it. Are there any significant negatives to applying later than the eligibility date and does the time still count from September 2017, even if we only apply now?

Hey Congrats for the new baby! I believe the counts starts from the day you are eligible but it is not the only factor that influence your processing time.
The only way u can try your luck and shorten the processing is to provide evidence and documents as many as u can. And of course, earlier may be better.
