Got 820 On: 12 May, 2016
Eligibility date: 25 Mar, 2017
Applied for 801: 25 Mar, 2017
Got 801 On: 06 Mar, 2017

Good luck everyone! Iíve updated my numbers in the spreadsheet too.

Congrats! I am about 1 month behind you so fingers crossed. Did you mean you got 801 on 06 Mar 2018, not 2017?

Did you get a request for more information before getting approved?

Thanks for the input JTaka, I was wondering what was up with the 17 November update and hadn't seen anyone else report it until now. I thought that was maybe when they looked at my app last, but alas maybe not.

Whoops! Thanks for catching me on that one, yes the timeline was 6th March 2018 for grant of 801 visa. Nope we didnít hear anything for more information, but throughout the process I did log in every few months and add more stuff, particularly when we moved house, purchased anything large in both of our names, started new accounts, attended weddings or anytime I had extra evidence. It was a bit like giving my diary over to Big Brother, but there you go.

I really, really hope yours comes through. I feel a bit terrible about getting ours quite quickly in some ways (although I am certainly relieved) because thereís so much bias in the system and I know that my partner being from a 'low risk' country (U.K) would definitely have had an effect on the application time.

Good luck!

Hi everyone,

Been a while since I visited this forum. Yesterday (8/3/2018) my partner got her partner visa subclass 820 granted. Couldn't believe our eyes at first but it happened! We applied on the grounds of married couples on 8th November 2017. On 27th December we were requested for police check. 18th January was the time when we submitted all the documents required including health check. Our next eligibility for subclass 801 is on 8th November 2019.

Just wondering what type of documents they will be looking for when I'm eligible to apply for it? Many thanks and good luck to everyone!

Best Regards,
Dennis Ngu.

The 801 is an update of you and your partner's relationship since the grant of your 820. You will need to upload supporting documents and photos of your relationship during that time similar to the info you supplied for the 820 such as joint bank account statements, any major joint purchases, club memberships, joint utility bills etc.

New 888's are required as well as stat decs from you and your partner (your partner will fill theirs out online in the 801 app) which you can find on the immigration website.

Your partner will also need a new AFP check.

Thanks for the update. I haven't been updating anything on my app. But we haven't had any major purchases together. I might add a few things this weekend just in case.

I"m from the US so hoping I get mine granted soon!

Has anyone noticed that our status description was changed?

Mine is Further Assessment now. Not sure what that means but finger crossed.

I noticed that generally ppl from low risk countries will get grants much faster than others. I have waited for 18 months now, no request, no update, no reply to emails....

Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone,

My partner and I submitted our 820/801 visa application 19th October 2017.
I(the sponser) got an email from immigration asking for a police check on the 16th of January 2018. I submitted my police check on the 30th of January and haven't heard anything since.

We hope we will hear something soon again.
