Hi!!

Same thing here, just log in to update some documents and I can't see my partner's name lol, I'm the only applicant.
I can see his name in the attachment part yay!

Application status: Further assessment

Is that good news? anyone in the same status?

Anyways... in my particular case maybe life is teaching me to be patient and I think I have learned the lesson. Hopefully, It comes soon and I can tick this off.

Wishing you all a good week and thank you for being there, for my 820 application this forum was an amazing support.

Further Assessment means your visa is in the second stage of processing. Many 801's are automatically put into the second stage category since the 801 part of the 820/801 process is an "update" of your visa. Did your status say "Assessment in Progress" before? Many people with that status had theirs automatically updated to Further Assessment. If it's a new status that could definitely be a good sign

Does anyone know if form 80 needs to be submitted for the 801 application?

I never submitted form 80 for my 820 application and my visa was approved while I was preparing to submit it. Is it likely that I will be asked for that for my 801 application?

Thanks in advance

Hey Guys I've just been reading through some of this thread and would like some advice please. I read on this thread that the stat decs for both 820 and 801 are different. Myself the applicant did not complete the online stat dec for the 801, we both wrote our stat decs, typed them up and submitted them. Does this mean this is wrong? Will I have to complete the online stat dec and submit it? Will these delay us even more?

Also guys, can anybody advise us on any extra documents we can upload please? My Police check, rental agreement, photos, joint bank account statements and stat decs from both of us and two friends have already been submitted. Has anybody else uploaded anything else?

It's very unlikely that you'll be asked for the form 80 for the 801. It's not listed by the DIBP website as a recommended document for this stage of the application. Up until recently the form 80 was only required for high risk applications which is probably why you weren't asked for it for the 820 stage. Remember the 801 is an update of the 820.

The applicant does not need to complete a paper stat dec for the 801 as the questions on the stat dec are the same as the questions asked in the 801 application. Therefore the "online stat dec" you wrote about IS the 801 application for the applicant; there is no way you were able to complete the 801 and submit it without answering the questions in your stat dec for the visa. Some people do fill out the stat dec form separately because the 801 app has a character limit; these applicants answer the corresponding questions in the application by writing "see submitted stat dec" or something to that effect.

The sponsor can write out their stat dec by hand or type it as a word document. This is submitted after the 801 application has been put through in the applicant's attachment's page.

Other ideas for supporting evidence could be joint memberships, membership cards to restaurant's or other businesses your frequent together, social media related items like facebook messages or check-ins, joint invitations, joint utility bills, your name on your partner's super and/or ATO, etc. Remember it's quality over quantity, you don't need to submit a crazy amount of evidence. Make sure everything is dated from the grant of your 820 and later

The form 80 or a written stat dec?

I never submitted a form 80 myself, so hopefully the requirements don't change!

Hello everyone!

The day has arrived. The long wait is over. Couple of days ago our application has granted it (straight visa 801). My partner and I are over the moon.

A huge thanks to our CO. Our CO was spot on! A huge thanks to all the people of this forum!
