I didn't. There are some troubles we went through and this is where I went extremely lucky to have a great CO.
I have no Visa 820, straight Visa 801.

Technically you wrre granted an 820. You would have been granted the 820 first and then the 801 immediately after which supersedes it. Congrats!

I never submitted a form 80 myself, so hopefully, the requirements don't change!
I have done both, I don't think it will be a problem if they don't need it

Ongoing sponsor responsibilities

Hi all,

Just wondering what the ongoing responsibilities are of the sponsor after the 801 has been granted?

I notice on immigration website it says the sponsor must provide support for 2 years following the date the 820 is granted, even if the 801 was granted the day after the 820.

Our 820 was granted on 19 Sept 2016.
Applied for 801 on 23 March 2017 (earliest possible date)
801 was granted on 8 March 2018

I am asking as we have been having some relationship difficulties and while I am hoping things will settle down, as the sponsor I want to be aware of my ongoing role and any notification requirements from here on, given the 801 has been granted and it's all done and dusted.

Thanks for any advice.

I think the end of the two years of sponsorshipit is possible to grant unemployment benefit,in case you don't have work. It is just my opinion.

From what I read, once permanent residency is granted the 801 can't be revoked if the relationship breaks down. That being said, you still have the responsibilities of any partner to their spouse. The way you and your partner split up your finances needs to be agreed upon by yourselves at this point.

It sounds to me like the sponsor obligations apply until 19 September 2018.

I have, what might be a really stupid question, I was wondering if someone could help with.

My husband and I started out on the PMV and then moved onto the 820 visa. For the 820 visa, we used the documents for the PMV and just updated them with stuff from the wedding.

Is it okay to use the evidence we used for the 820 visa and then add more evidence from the last two years? Or should I only supply evidence from just the past two years? For example, we have a document filled with photos of us since the beginning of our relationship, should we just use photos from the last two years or can we add photos from the last two years from that document and supply photos since the start of our relationship?
