Since we know this isn't a possibility, it just shows that regardless of docs submitted or not, the file will go into queue and a decision will be made eventually.
Yeah you are right. If time is counted since I was eligible then I am currently on my 13th month. That gives me some hope that the result should come soon otherwise if I count the time from the submission then I have a long wait still. Fingers crossed.

Vevo is used for checking current visa details. If the application is not finalised (visa granted) then the information will not be available in Vevo.

You can check the status through immiaccount. However, this requires the application to be imported in the online account. Best to check with your agent as he/she may have already created one for your application.

Hi all - this forum has been very helpful so I wanted to share our experience to give others some hope.

* Application for 820 submitted May 2017
* 820 visa granted April 2018 ( Woo )
* Emailed CO requesting they consider our application as a long term relationship.
* received email confirmation next day agreeing that we are considered long term. 801 granted immediately ( 1 day after 820 )!

We were married for 2 years when we submitted the application for 820 ( now we have been married for 3 ) and have a dependent child together. We are from a high risk country.

We submitted a LOT of evidence with plenty of photos, joint correspondence, joint bank accounts etc. I think because we were a clear case and provided so much evidence it was very seamless. So there is hope.

We are obviously beyond happy and pleased with the fast turnaround. Big thanks to all the people that provided advice on this forum.

That's great, congratulations!

As for me, here's my background:

Applied for 820: 14/07/2015
820 Granted: 08/07/2016

For a myriad of reasons I didn't submit my application for my 801 until 07/04/2018, so whether they go off the date from which I was eligible to apply (July last year) or when I actually submitted my application (this month) I figure I'm in for a decent wait.

Still, I found these forums so helpful in both of my applications it's good to be amongst others in the same boat! I love hearing how long different people's applications have taken, it's all invaluable information!

Can you please help by letting us know of the evidence you provided?

Also, are you from a low risk or a high risk country?

Thank you

I am from a high risk country.

The documents were : joint account, our household expenses, our utility account, joint tickets, our movie tickets, form 888, my NPC, our photo ID, our passports, proof of me as my partner's beneficiary in his super & tax, sponsorship statement (stat declaration of my husband) and lots of our photos with a bit of caption (explaining of what & when & where... almost like making our journey photo album... haha)

Hope this helps
