You are right. I really appreciate it. I just found our visa grant letter.

Grant Details
Visa Class Partner (Temporary) (class UK)
Visa Subclass Partner (subclass 820)
Visa Grant Number xxxxx
Visa Grant Date 01 July 2015

this is guess is the date of grant of the 820

but does that still mean in April last year i could have got the 801 due to being together since 2012 and having a child who was 1 in april last year?
The grant notice should say when you applied for the 820 as well, so your eligibility date is from then. So if you applied 1 May 2015 then your eligibility date is 1 May 2017 therefore you have been waiting just under 1 year for the 801.

The long term relationship is an at 820 application not when you submit the 801 documents. You will find the majority of people at the 801 stage are in a long term relationship anyway.
Hi Mish I am so sorry for my misinformation it’s so hard to remember the exact facts. Thanks for your patience.

Anyway, yes we applied for the 820 in May 2015 and it was granted 1 July 2015. At the time of applying for the 801 in May 2017 we were together since 2012 and our daughter was almost 2 years old.

Should I have asked for something different back in 2017? Or am I where I should be almost one year on and still waiting?

Thank you soooooo much for going out of your way to help me

Yes, you are exactly where you should be. Hopefully it should not be too much longer before it is granted. Just keep updating them with evidence (financial, household etc) during the waiting time and it will make their job easier when they get the application.

You then need to wait 2 years to apply for the 801 visa (or so i thought?)

My daughter was born 26 July 2015.
In this post (http://www.australiaforum.com/870938-post51.html) on 2nd May 2015 you said you were about to apply for the 820 visa.

Your daughter was born after your 820/801 application, so does not count.

You seem to have confused the PMV application with the 820 Partner visa.

Are these dates about correct, from previous posts.

Timeline for application from Russia.
PMV 300 Application on 21 Aug 2013
PMV 300 Granted on 27 April 2015
Arrived in Australia: 1st May 2015

Married on: ?? May 2015 ??

820 Application date ???? May 2015??
820 Granted on 1st Jul 2015

Child born 26 July 2015

801 Application on 1st April 2017

If so, all times look reasonable for your application, although the PMV was longer than average.

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if we're doing the correct thing.

My eligible date for 801 is 28/4/18, and i just applied the 801 (2nd stage) today on the 29/4/18.
First thing, while I'm trying to upload some documents just now, it only allows me to upload docs under "Other Documents" section.
I remember the last time I uploaded docs for the 820 back in April 2016, its written every section which needs to be uploaded.
Am i doing it right?

Second thing, do we need to fill out sponsorship application again from the Immi Account for the 801 (2nd stage)?

Thanks for your time, any help would be appreciated!

Try logging out of immi then back in again. If the categories still don't appear, wait a day or two then log in and see. They'll show up eventually. Doesn't seem to be right away since the latest immi maintenance.

And no online form for the sponsor. See stat dec form for 801 sponsor here.

there's a note about attachment issues when you first log in. check to see if that's tied in with your issues.

Joint bank statements, joint bills etc. The kind of things that you would (or should have) provided when you submitted the 801. You just showing that during the processing time you are still in a genuine and ongoing relationship.

see thats the thing, my wife doesn't have a job and is unable to receive any government benefits. We dont have joint bank accounts. I support the whole family. She is a signatory on my accounts and has a card for my accounts but they arent in both our names as we've never bothered.. Bills are only in my name because she has no income and isn't entitled to centrelink income so all bills have to be in my name for phone and electricity... she cant get a credit card or anything from banks as she has no PR. She is on the lease for the house we rent but thats about it..

My wife is the same, no job etc. But we did a joint bank account anyway. You can use that to pay all bills, and shopping etc. Statements show both names.

I also applied for a supplementary credit card on my account in her name. Copies of confirmation letters will go with our 801 application next month.

I added her on the house insurance.
