So its been 24 months since i have applied for the partner visa. My partner and i got married 4 months after applying the visa and now we have a baby of 18months.
Since i applied for my visa ive been on a bringing visa A which been 24 months since. 18 months after applying they email me for more information which i already send. Since then no feedback. And still on bringing visa A
I email them last week and got an email from them today saying my application still bring assessed. Do i need to worry? What should i do?
We been together for almost 2 years before applying and been living together for almost 1 year during these 2 years. And got married after applying which in a bit more than a month will be 2 years since we got married.

If i were you I would send a complaint as you are outsude of the processing times and in the email ask to be assessed straight away for the 801 since 2 years has already passed.

Good day everyone, my 801 was granted this morning. Thank you so much for being a supportive community, providing invaluable information to members like myself.

I would like to share my experience.

My wife and I have been married since 2015 in Australia, no children, low risk country.

Timeline:
From WHV
820 Applied: 28th May 2015
820 Granted: 29th March 2016
801 Applied: 30th May 2017
801 Granted: 2nd May 2018

In the 801 application, my attachments were:
1) Basic identification documents
2) Home Loan under both our names
3) Police Check - Myself and Wife (Uploaded in June 2017)
4) Australian Marriage Cert
5) ** 2x Form 888 from close friends
6) Evidence List
i) Wedding Invitations
ii) Screenshot of Tax File showing spouse information
iii) House Purchase Acknowledgement
iv) Joint Mortgage Agreement (Home Loan Agreement)
v) Statutory Declaration by wife (Sponsor)
vi)** Photo Evidence from 2015-2018 uploaded at different points in time, stating date/event/photo and captions. Provided Facebook Post URLs as reference as well.

** In my opinion, these are the information that hold the most value in the application.

Things that I have NOT done/been asked to do.
1) Migration Agent
2) Joint Bank Account (I reckon the Joint Home Loan was sufficient)
3) Evidence while apart (we have not been apart for more than two weeks throughout)
4) Second Police Check
5) Health Assessment
6) Form 80 (Done in 820 application)

Additional Info:
1) Status had not changed from "Received" since the beginning.
2) No contact from CO or Immi at all.
3) Collated chronologically and uploaded photo evidence list at two different points of time.
4) Informed Immi on Passport change (renewal).

Hope this helps someone.

I will be doing our 801 shortly, when we get home from holiday, and your post will be handy for me to refer to.

Thank you.

Yes, I did upload several documents again in the 801 application; this included national identity documents, passports, marriage cert just because there were fields to have them uploaded.

timeline once requested docs have been provided

Hi Mish, Thanks for what you do - have seen your posts over the years. I received my 820 Sep 16 - Suddenly on 20 Apr immi contacted us and asked for some docs - all under the category of "other" (2x 888's and a few other things) I got them all back to them 1 week later on 27 Apr. Whats your feel on this for timeline of either granting or another req? Do you think it will take a month to hear from them or quite quickly. Thanks Christina

Also - sorry a bit confused reading back through replies on here. What is the 2 year wait thing? I received my 820 in Sep 16 - does that mean I wasn't supposed to go forward with my 801 app yet? I did... and they have corresponded with me... Is that because my husband and I have been married for 4 years and together for about 6 or does that matter.

The 2 year wait is from date of 820 submission. I read that you submitted in Feb 2015. You could have done the 801 submission in Feb 2017. Fortunately they are now asking you to do that. They do not need to remind us these days.

It has nothing to do with when the 820 was granted. You need to supply documents when you are eligible for thr 801, which is 2 years after you did the 820/801 application.

Read step 5.
