We are in a long term continuing relationship but it feels like we are not submitting much evidence compared to when we did the 820.

Thanks
They assessed your relationship when they granted the 820. They only want evidence since then as they don't need to see anything from before when they last looked at your relationship.

So if the 820 was only granted 6 months ago, you only supply evidence since then as that is what they ask for. They already sifted through the bulk of evidence that was used to prove the relationship was genuine and met requirements. The PR stage is just seeing if the relationship is still ongoing.

If you want to supply more, nothing is stopping you. It's just more work for you and more work for the CO.

Anyone else noticing immi.gov having problems today? First I couldn't log in - now I can but it keeps hanging.

Hi all,

My partners 801 was due on April 21st 2018 and we filled out all the info online and uploaded all our documents on April 26th.
The application has 'further assessment' status but we never received an email 'acknowledgement' letter like when we submitted for the 820.
Do you receive an acknowledgement letter when submitting your 801?
Just a bit nervous it hasn't been submitted correctly.
Thanks in advance

You don't get an Acknowledgment of Application Received because the 801 stage isn't an application. The application was made when you paid the fee two years ago. That's why it is called an 820/801 app and not an 820 app. Also how the 820/801 app makes one eligible for Medicare... a permanent visa app has been made (the 801 part).

All the 801 eligibility stage is is submitting documentation the relationship has continued since the grant of the 820. If you did the online form and submitted all the required documents and evidence, then you did it correctly. Now the waiting game.

Thank you for the quick response Skybluebrewer.
That puts my mind at rest now as I have been checking emails every day and wondering why it hasn't been sent.

Yes the wonderful waiting game begins all over again lol

Any requests so far?? What’s your status showing in immi account? And did you applied same time when you were eligible? Maybe you should file a complain becaue you have already crossed 18 months timeline

Eligible since Oct 2016, still waiting. Contacted by a case officer last month for a newer police check.

If you got request for new police check means your case already has case officer and would be getting grant soon. When did you applied for 801??
