Hi Rose, thanks for reply.

I had lodged combine 820/801 application and its been two years since the application and over one year since the grant of 820. No one contacted us regarding 801 andI have no idea if i really need to create another application for 801 or just send them new documents? If i have to send documents which i cannot attached to already granted application and theres no option for that.

Now you simply upload more recent evidence that your relationship is still ongoing so they can assess you for the 801 PR visa. So more recent bank statements, more recent relationship statements, etc.

Hi Maggie,

I am in the same situation, and its confusing as to how to send or attach new evidence as my online application has no option to attach dox.

You don't attach to the 820 as that has been closed. Read Step 5 and follow instructions. It tells you how to create a Stage 2 assessment in immi and after completing the online form you access the upload screen. I suggest you hurry as you don't want them to go to process your case without having supplied the required information as they could just refuse it.

I have an agent and everything she does.I know that after my son took the 445 visa the agent completed a form, and then sent this information from a attachment. And on December 20, 2016 when it was 2 years since we applied for 820/801,we brought new evidence for the 801 visa and we have been expecting since then.
I hope to help you with this information, but hurry anyway, time is late for you ...
Ah...so it is an attachment. Thanks!

So after my son took the 445 visa,my agent sent a form to emigrate where hi request a permanent partner visa.
I think this form(. Form 1002 - Request for a dependent child subclass 445 for a permanent partner visa (178KB PDF)
Then emigration soon confirmed my son's request. So the child must apply for a permanent partner visa before making a decision on the parent's request.
And then when I did two years since I applied for the 2 visas 820/801we have brought new evidence that our relationship continues, and at 3-4 months we updated the record.Since then we have been waiting for the permanent visa for both.I hope I was clearer now. Good luck😀

Hi all,
A few questions that I would really appreciate some help on.

My eligibility date for the 801 was yesterday (yay!)

- Do I need to provide a Form 80 again?

- My partner (an Australian citizen) lived in England for 2 years - does he need to provide a UK police check (I don't remember him doing so for the 820 visa?) The information on the website indicates that he does.

I have lived in Australia since 2015 - will I need to provide another UK police check?

And I am a little worried as have just read this on the website...

You can travel outside Australia as many times as you want on the temporary Partner visa (subclass 820) but you must let us know your travel plans before you leave Australia.

I have travelled out of Australia twice since being on the 820 visa but did not tell the department (was not aware that I needed to/may have read it last year but it slipped my mind). Has anyone had an issue with this atall?

Thank you!!

Hello everyone,
My 820 visa will be two years this coming 15th of June 2018 but still I haven’t get any email or mail to proceed for 801 visa. Do I have to wait for there notice or I can submit my requirements? Thanks

Read Step 5.

"You do not need to wait for us to contact you."

Also eligibility is two years from the 820/801 application date, not the date the 820 was granted.

No, you don't need an additional form 80 unless it's requested (which it RARELY is). You only need to supply another AFP check unless you lived in another country for 12 months or more during the time you held the 820. I'm not sure about your husband supplying a UK police check as he was approved as a sponsor for the 820 without doing so. If he hasn't lived in the UK for the past 12 months then this is irrelevant to the 801 unless requested.

As for notifying the department of travel, I'm sure you and your partner are going to supply some record of your travels together or proof of staying in contact while apart anyway. From what I've read holidays of 2 weeks of more require notification and submission of a "change of address" form. Perhaps just be proactive in doing this in the future in case you travel again? You can always address the fact you forgot to mention your travel plans to immigration and apologise for that in a cover letter for your travel logs, but that's up to you.
