I'm pretty sure that you only need to notify them of travel in case they need to contact you in regards to your visa. I wouldn't even worry about that. But yeah, if you leave again you should let them know, especially now you'll be applying for the 801 stage where they may need to contact you.

Hi

Thanks for all help with some of my random questions so far...!

What documents is my partner required to attach apart from his ID documentation and statutory declaration? I have uploaded all evidence of our relatiosnhip under my name.

Thanks

You aren't required to attach any documents to your partner's upload section; some people just upload everything under their name which is OK as long as everything is labelled correctly. I think your partner still has sponsorship obligations for you until two years after your 820 grant, which means financial responsibility. I just uploaded some pay slips and bank statements which highlighted he was still employed/had a steady income.
Other than that if you have any information pertaining to him personally such as social media records that are under his name or mail addressed him at your address, you can upload them there as well, but that's not required. Many people just used the partner's upload area as extra space in case they upload too much under their name.

I am currently on an 820 visa, eligible to apply for my 801 in October this year. I am planning to go overseas with my partner for a short, one week holiday soon. Do I need to notify Immi?

For holidays less than two weeks, you don't need to notify the department. If you were gone for two weeks or more, you would have to fill out a "change of address form", but that isn't the case here. Since you're travelling with your partner, be sure to save your travel slips/itineraries/tickets for "social" proof for your 801! Have a good time

Thank you very much

Did you find this information on the Dept of immi website? I tried to find this information there but I couldn't

Hello Senior Members,

I am in a bit of dilemma, i need ur guidance to overcome this problem. I am creating 801 application for my wife who already holds 820 visa. While filling out the application i started matching details with old application(820) found one error in last application where they ask about sponsors details,

Question was Country lf birth of sponsor: i put Australia, which is wrong i shud have put India. Other details were all ok like if the sponsor got the citizenship by grant etc.

In sponsor’s part application there was same question i answer it correctly.

Now my question is i need to inform department about the mistake ? And how can i do it? As the application was granted one year ago. Secondly, wud there be any negative effect on her 801 application?

Last, i was going through the forum that 820 visa holder need to inform if they stay longer overseas, in my wife’s case we didn’t inform department when we traveled to india together , i stayed one month and she stayed in india for 5 months. Now, is this gonna create problem for us? We didn’t change our address during overseas visit.
Or can we notify the department now?

Any help wud be highly appreciated.

Thanks
