The button typically appears if the CO has requested somthing from you. You're meant to only click it once you've supplied all the requested info.

It doesn't change anything though. You can click it and someone may get to your app in the next few days or weeks, or they may not get back to it for several months. So it doesn't really affect anything.

Thank you.

I wonder whether married and children will speed up the application.
I'm not married to my partner nor do we have children, and my 820/801 was granted at the same time as sirilejeune. I'm sure there are several factors that effect processing times, but a lot of those can't be helped by the applicant (ie whether you're from a high risk v low risk country). As long as you uploaded a complete application and a solid amount of well-explained evidence, there really isn't much an applicant can do unfortunately.

I also clicked the button since November 2017, but until now there is no any replying from immigration.

Is there anything that make the application more delayed than usual if we click that button?

There's just no telling when the CO will get back to your case.

888 statements

Hi all! Just joining the party and wondering, with regard to the 888 statements- we included a lot (around 12) in our initial 820 application and just not sure how many is ideal to include in our submission for the 801 assessment. Have most of you just done the minimum or is it worth going ahead and submitting quite a few?

19th Nov 2015: Arrived in Aus on 2nd year 417 Visa
28th Sep 2016: 820/801 Application submitted
20th Apr 2017: 820 granted
28th Sep 2018: Submit further evidence for 801
19th Nov 2019: Eligible to apply for citizenship (if 801 granted before this date and the laws donít change...fingers crossed!)

The requirement is "minimum 2", so get as many as you can. As you can see, you have got 12, you got your 820 visa pretty quick. I have only 2, just because my partner's family isn't in Aus, it takes 16 months to grant 820.

May I ask you: have you got married ? and do you have any children as results of the relationship?

Good luck to everyone, incl. me!

I doubt the amount of F888s supplied affects processing time at all. Not like they place you in queue based on how many you supply.

I only did the minimum 2 each time. For my 300 the grant was ready in 3.5 months. For my 820, I got the grant in 20 days. I'm only supplying 2 again for the 801.

No, not married and no children. Thanks, I was thinking it's worth the effort to get a few more for the 801. We got quite a few from overseas family members as well, not sure if they were 'officially' counted as they weren't Australian citizens but we figured it wouldn't hurt to have them backing up what the others were saying!

Agree with sky. Whilst it probably doesnt hurt to get as many 888s as possible, the minimum requirement is two and I feel that two would suffice. To say the difference between a visa grant of really quickly and 16 months due to amount of 888s required is clutching at straws.

We only supplied 2 and our visa was granted in 2 months.
