Are you in similar situation?
Thank you for this info. I am glad you clarified this as I will be applying for the 801 soon and I wasn't sure if we need to include a copy of our passport and other IDs. Why did you provide a certified copy of your passport? As long as it is in colour it doesn't need to be certified

Going to ask a silly question here, but HOW do I submit the info for the permanent residency part??? Got an email a couple of weeks ago that we may submit, and just gone into our IMMI account and I see no where to submit anything! I can view the list of the documents from the original application, but can't add to that for the final permanent part!?

Step 5. Yes, I read that thanks, BUT on selecting "Family" it only shows stage one and does not show stage 2. Without that it appears impossible to upload the documents. There seems no way to contact IMMI online, and I'm sure a phone call would required and hour or so mostly on hold. I actually work during the day so that's just not possible. I'll see if I can find a ph number and get my wife to attempt to sort it.
EDIT: I found an online form to report the problem.

Hello,
I am also in the process of submitting my 801 (de facto) and I am not an expert but I think with Nature of commitment need to show that you two are in this relationship for a long haul. On the application, it will be the field for you to describe this. And for your sponsor, he has to fill the stat dec and it will be the field to write this as well.
I wrote that we are now engaged and getting married next year and buying a property together. The evidence is the email conversations between us and the mortgage broker, loans applications, wedding deposit paid and so on.
I also show them my partner phone bills that called to my international phone number while I was away.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I make one Stat Dec that include sections of :
History of Relationship
Financial Aspects
Nature of Households
Social Context of the Relationship since granted Temporary Visa
Nature of Commitment to each other

This is what I write in Nature of Commitment section :
1) That I have a mutual commitment to a shared life as a husband and wife to the exclusion of all others, with (Husband Name);
2) That our relationship is genuine and continuing;
3) That (Husband Name) and I live together;
4) We are beneficiaries of each otherís Superannuation.
5) My employee emergency contact form naming (Husband Name) as next of kin, address and emergency contact
6) My husband put my name in his will.
