Hello everyone!

Does anyone know how long the immigration response when you send a complaint? I sent a complaint this afternoon and there's no response yet

I don't think there is a timeframe for complaint and they definitely will not answer the same day! I asked them something before and it looks them 2,3 weeks to answer a simple things.

How long have you been waiting your 801? What is your application dates?

Martin.

Hi Pal,

I used used this link to complain
https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about...enship-service

I submitted my 2nd stage of application on the 1st of February 2018 so just say 9 months of waiting. I'm just impatient and tried to complain to them and maybe it'll work 😁

Hi Martino,

Okay I get it. I just hope I'll get my PR before the year ends as I am planning to study a 12 month course at Tafe and no one wants to pay international student fee 😑

I have been waiting 9 months for my 801, I know I'm still in the timeframe of their processing but I want my papers to be granted already so let's see what happens 😁 *fingers crossed*

Applied 820/801: 17 Feb 2016
Granted 820: 04 Aug 2016
Applied 801: 01 Feb 2018
Granted 801: Still waiting

I am from the Philippines my husband and I got married here in Brisbane we have a 21 month old son together and in my 801 application I included my 2 daughters from my previous relationship they are currently living with us and have the same visas like mine.

I am not sure how the complaints work but you are 8 months and 13 days from your eligible date so I honestly don't know if they will act on your compliant though.

The processing time frame is 18-24 months at the moment.

I do understand how "unfair" it seems to pay international fees on courses - I am doing one myself but I am not too sure if that if a valid reason immigration will look at.

I hope you hear from them but if not keep being patient and I wish for a quick turnaround for your PR.

I received email from the Immigration just now this is what they said

The Department of Home Affairs has received your feedback on 29 October 2018. Feedback on our processes and services is important and we thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

From 14 March 2017, we began publishing current global processing times for the majority of visa subclasses and citizenship services. The new processing time information gives an indication of the time it will likely take to finalise a complete application. Global visa and citizenship processing times are updated monthly, providing an indicative timeframe for processing applications. Two processing times are displayed, indicating how long it is taking to finalise 75 and 90 per cent of applications submitted globally.

You can view processing times on our website at http://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about/...ocessing-times.

We do not respond to status-related enquiries that fall within the published processing times. You should wait until after the processing time has elapsed before contacting us. If you lodged your application online, you can monitor the status of your application through ImmiAccount.

Once you have lodged your application you can expect us to:

undertake checks, as required, to confirm that the information and documents provided are truthful and accurate

finalise the application as quickly as possible and in accordance with Australian law.

To ensure your application is completed within the expected timeframe, make sure that you:

submit a complete application, including all necessary supporting documents

provide any additional documents or information we request within the specified time, or tell us immediately if this is not possible. (Remember to check your junk folder, as our correspondence may auto-filter into spam).

keep contact with the case officer or processing office to a minimum, to allow processing of applications to proceed as quickly as possible.

Note: Applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Some individual circumstances may cause applications to fall outside the published processing times.

Your correspondence will be sent to the relevant processing area for information.

We hope this information has been helpful to you.

I confess I have only so far read the first 100 or so pages of this thread and so this may be common knowledge.

I was under the impression that Immi had stopped sending these but, yesterday I got an email telling me I can upload new paperwork for my 801 (eligibility is 30th November). I hope it doesn't mean I need to get it all done in advance as I have only just asked for my 888s.

edit: Got a second letter yesterday saying exactly the same. They sure don't want me to miss out!
