Omg omg! Our permanent partner visa is granted today including my 2 daughters! I received an email 7:20am. I cant believe it! I sent a complaint on the 29th of October and they granted our visas today! I'm so excited! I am very happy that it's finally over 😁

Here is my timeline

Applied 820/801: 17 Feb 2016
Granted 820: 04 Aug 2016
Applied 801: 01 Feb 2018
Granted 801: 31 October 2018

To everyone that is still waiting for their Permanent Visas don't lose hope. God bless everyone 😊

I was under the impression that Immi had stopped sending these but, yesterday I got an email telling me I can upload new paperwork for my 801 (eligibility is 30th November). I hope it doesn't mean I need to get it all done in advance as I have only just asked for my 888s.
My eligibility date is today and I still haven't received any email or update, even when I log in my immi account.

I got one back in August. I think it's just because they ideally want it all in by the eligibility date. I'd imagine it causes more delays for people not to have everything in when they should.

They've been granting some decision ready Stage 2s pretty quickly lately.

Which is great for those who get the grant, but bad for those who submitted "decision ready" application 18 months or 2 years ago

I think the biggest problem with Immigration is the lack of transparency with where applications are at. On face value, an application lodged in June last year should be looked at and granted before one in Feb this year.

But as we know there seems to be no rhyme or reason, in fact it seems to be a case of the squeaky wheel gets the oil with regard to visa grants.

I have considered putting in an enquiry but to be honest I have always ended worse off after contacting immigration so am wary about trying again for my wife.

Good luck for those who have had success

Wow! That's a great result from a complain! Congrats on your grant!

You'd think so. I'd love to see how it all works but that'll never happen.

Meh. I felt the same but decided it was worth a shot. What are they going to do, make you wait longer? I was already expecting to be in it for the long haul so I wasn't concerned about that. That being said, I didn't complain; I requested politely and stated the reason for it and they came back with a grant.

I am almost ready to submit my application, just waiting for my sister in law form 888.
I have a question regarding JP signed documents, do we have to get driver licences signed? my partner and I had them change in between subclass 820 and now..

also what about passport scans? in 2016 when we applied for 820/801 we sent them colour scans and JP signed copies of passport etc so do we have to scan them again and get them signed again and then upload or just colour scan and upload to immi?

Clear color scans of originals are fine. No need to upload certified copies.

JP (or other authorized) person is only required for the Form 888s and sponsor stat dec to witness the signatures, not to certify copies. You just color scan and upload the signed documents.
