Can you please tell us more details regarding your application? Which country are you from? What did you put in the complain letter? We lodged our 820/801 in Nov 2014 and now still haven't heard anything from the department.

Thank you.

I do not know what is happening now on my application as I cannot send updates or see the status of my application coz I don't have immi account.

Is it ok to call them or it is just waste of time? Email them?

I wanna know if I'm in a queue or they already look at my application. We are planning to visit my country next year.

What do you suggest?

Thanks for your help in advance 🙂
Hi Rhian, I submitted 820/801 in Nov 2014 and 801 in Jan 2017 by POST as well. Up until now, I still haven't heard anything from the department yet. Have you tried to call or email them?

I have considered putting in an enquiry but to be honest I have always ended worse off after contacting immigration so am wary about trying again for my wife.
There are two perspectives. 1. An agent once I talked with, said it worsen the case 2. What to lose, it is a lengthy process any way.
Both are valid.
Transparency? No immigration department in this world is transparent. So, we shouldn't expect so much. What we can do is to send them a suggestion in the form of feedback at this link

Hi Asb,

My husband and I have been together for 4 years and 8 months and we are married for 2 years and 11 months. We have a 21 months old son together.

6 months after submitting the 2nd stage of the Visa I uploaded new relationship evidences online like couple more form 888's from close friends, furniture purchases, more joint bank account statements, more photos together with family and friends, a letter of how are we doing from when we were granted 820 to present and our plans in the future.

I uploaded my 2 girls form 1002 on the 7th of October after I read it somewhwere in this forum, honestly I won't have any idea that we need to submit those forms if I didn't see it here as we used agent to process their temporary dependent child visas before and we didnt bother to read things on the immigration website.

I got impatient the other day and tried sent a complaint/feedback to them.

This is what I said on the complaint/feedback form thing

"Why is it taking so long to process my Permanent Visa I have been waiting for my Permanent visa since February 2016 and I have friends that submitted applications after me that was granted permanent visa already and that is unfair."

I hope this helps 😊

Did you mean Feb 18? Or did you use the first date that you applied 820/801?

Cheers.

Hi Christian , congratulation for your visa. How long have you been overseas without your partner? I’m planning to travel to America to visit my family and I’m not sure how long should go as my partner is not going with me. Thank you

Eligible for 801: Jan 2018
Applied for 801: March 2018, with all evidence ready to go and uodated evidence every 3 months.
No contact or updates from the DHA whatsover but I am thrilled it happened this fast as I wasn’t expecting for an outcome at least until next year!

I am currently in the US for a work trip and can’t wait to go back to celebrate with my partner!!!

In great news, we were granted our 801 at midday today via email. Zero contact from the department.

Country of origin: France
820 applied: August 2015
820 granted: August 2016
801 eligible: August 2017
801 granted: October 2018

Phew!!

We uploaded quite a few documents towards the end of 2017, and continually added each couple of months until a few weeks ago.
Zero dependents but we are recently engaged after meeting five years ago.

Key point: two weeks ago I emailed them via the enquiries form to say that our application was 100 percent complete and ready for review. Did this have an effect?? Who knows!!
