We uploaded one with my wife's 801 second stage in June 2017.

Are people uploading new ones every 12 months? Are they only valid for 12 Months?
They are generally valid for 12 months but immigration do have a small amount of discussion to grant the visa if slightly more than 12 months old.

I have seen people ask for new AFP's so in order not to delay the application you could go ahead and get a new AFP.

Yes. If you're beyond the listed wait time and you've tried contacting them to discuss it/made a complaint with no response, the next step would be to contact the ombudsman. I believe people on here have stated you need to wait at least 2 weeks for a response to your complaint from DIBP. Hopefully someone else will comment on this to verify.

They usually reply within 2 weeks. They will also tell you then will need to look into it and get back to you in x time. You can't lodge a complaint with the ombudsman until the x time has passed otherwise the ombudsman won't investigate.

6 months after submitting the 2nd stage of the Visa I uploaded new relationship evidences online like couple more form 888's from close friends, furniture purchases, more joint bank account statements, more photos together with family and friends, a letter of how are we doing from when we were granted 820 to present and our plans in the future.

I uploaded my 2 girls form 1002 on the 7th of October after I read it somewhwere in this forum, honestly I won't have any idea that we need to submit those forms if I didn't see it here as we used agent to process their temporary dependent child visas before and we didnt bother to read things on the immigration website.

I got impatient the other day and tried sent a complaint/feedback to them.

This is what I said on the complaint/feedback form thing

"Why is it taking so long to process my Permanent Visa I have been waiting for my Permanent visa since February 2016 and I have friends that submitted applications after me that was granted permanent visa already and that is unfair."

I hope this helps 😊

Thanks heap Lanzlans for sharing your story with us. All the best to you and your family.
Thanks Asb I hope you get your 801 anytime soon and good luck!

In my experience they never reply at that email address. You are better off submitting a complaint to immigration instead.

Has anyone posted a complaint and made things worse?

Not that I know of. A friend of mine recently (after waiting something like 20 months) lodged a complaint and then was contacted and it was finalised a month later.

Yes, in this thread or the 100 thread. They came back questioning the guy why he wanted his PR to be processed so badly. Can't remember the exact details of it but it has happened.

I personally believe in a polite request before complaints, but that's just me.

I do not know what is happening now on my application as I cannot send updates or see the status of my application coz I don't have immi account.

Is it ok to call them or it is just waste of time? Email them?

I wanna know if I'm in a queue or they already look at my application. We are planning to visit my country next year.

What do you suggest?

Thanks for your help in advance 🙂

Have you heard anything from the department? Our timeline are very closed to each other and I submitted the application by post as well.
