A bit of background - I lodged a complaint with immigration the end of April 2017 and then got a standard response in early May 2017 (it was the same response as others had received). I lodged an ombudsman complaint afterwards and was advised on Monday that immigration had 21 days to reply. Immigration request today that I withdraw the ombudsman complaint as they already had a case officer working on the case. It sounded like they were working on it from the immigration complaint that I lodged. They said that it required additional departmental resources to deal with 2 complaints. I told them I would withdraw the complaint and they said that it would be finalised today or tomorrow. She would not advise on the phone if it was an approval but said I can tell by her voice lol.

The entire process from the first application took 4 years and 1 month and 1 week (approximately).
Look what happens when I don't go near the forum for a few weeks!!! BIG AND HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH! BIG HUGE HUGS, KISSES AND HAPPINESS.

Wow, brilliant news and I (we) are so very happy for you.

Thank you Mish for your valuable help and to everyone . I do not need to write to complain anymore. I guess, they are reading this thread too. To everyone in here who are still waiting, this will give you hope that soon yours will also be approved. Just keep on waiting, benchmark I guess is between 11-12 months.

The long wait is over.

Congrats Mish, you must have applied about three months prior to us. We applied ins September 2016 so been waiting 8 months now. In what email did they quote you the processing times? I have checked our grant letter and there is no timeframe listed? I am considering also making a complaint.
