That seems to be the pattern. But mine never changed from received, or if they did, it was the same day the opened it and finalized it and I just didn't log in during that time to see it.

Not sure. Mine says "Further Assessment" but it's only been 2 months, so I don't think that has any real reflection.

Also, when I click to view details of my 801 application, under application history it says application submitted in October 2016 which is the date I would have applied for 820, not 801. Is that normal?

It's an 820/801 application because you apply for both at the same time (the 801 part is why you're eligible for Medicare when you make the 820/801 app because it's an application for a permanent visa). Stage 2 eligibility for PR is two years after application. But people say 801 'application' when what they mean is 'eligibility', and that leads to confusion.

Thank you Skybluebrewer.

You are absolutely right, it does feel exactly like a brand new application though when you have to submit the exact same type of material and evidence, minus the health check

Mine said Further assessment from the start but nothing happened. I think maybe the status changed when I uploaded more evidence or maybe there is not a logic behind it who know hahhahaha

True. Though there's been no further response at this point. So, more than likely, it'll be a loooooong wait. C'est la vie, eh?!
