Means someone is assessing your case.

Well, that's up to you, haha. You're further along now than you were, so that's always something to get excited over.

I applied for my stage 2 back in May, when I became eligible. Since basically a day after applying, it has been marked with "further assessment" with no change ever since then! Is that okay? Does that happen to anyone else?

(Up until this day I haven't received any requests for additional information, and I check the correspondence/messages tab every time I log in to make sure I didn't miss an email.)

Thank you all for your time!

(Incidentally I've also been considering using the enquiry form-- but I'm worried because I fear it might annoy them or make them give my application undue rigorous attention. My application is - I feel - pretty solid, but I would feel extremely terrible if I got in trouble for not waiting patiently. Does anyone know if you can get in trouble for using the enquiry form?)

No, you do not need medical check again, unless they ask. But you must have police check for any country you lived in more than 180 days (confirm the number of days with immigration) since THE GRANT OF 820. Be aware that the police checks valid only for 12 months. So, since you are in Australia, you have to update it every 12 months.
For other countries, you do not need to update them if you NEVER WENT BACK to stay more than 180 days. Otherwise, you need to update them.

I guess you are from Ukraine. If Ukraine is categorized as high risk, then yes. You must provide form 80 again. Myself, as well, thought I do not need until I called immigration.

Please clicking on this link and follow the steps. For the checklist of what document you need read the section "Gather your documents".

If you have any question, just ask. We are here to help you to go through.
Good luck
Thanks! If I'm a low risk country I assume I don't need Form 80 again? I didn't realise I'd selected Ukraine :P - actually from UK!

I didn’t use the inquiry letter, just sent them an email but only received an automatic reply one, nothing else 😞

From what I have seen on the 801 spreadsheet:

The last six grants shown on the 801 spreadsheet took:
  1. 22.8 months
  2. 8.7 months
  3. 7.3 months
  4. 8.1 months
  5. 16.0 months
  6. 8.5 months

That actually worked out at 83% under 19 months, and 17% over 19 months.
But 66% actually took under 9 months.

That is statistics for you.

We are actually at 8.7 months at the moment, and still waiting... with crossed fingers.
Where can I find the spreadsheet? would be interesting to see...

Is it guaranteed to work if you use it? No, but it's worth a shot in my opinion regardless of how long anyone has been waiting. What's the worst case scenario? They don't grant it straight away? You're no worse off as you're waiting just the same. Best case is they do grant it and you clear up another spot in queue.
How long were you waiting for your 801, and how many times did you use the enquiry form? I'll start prodding it every month if that is what people here seemed to do

Thought I would give you an update. I just received my grant notification after waiting for 23 months. Just an email without any communication from the department.

As previously mentioned I used the enquiry form to contact the immigration department once a month since Sep 18. My last enquiry was 2 days ago where I mentioned that my application has been decision ready and I am unsure what might be causing the delay. I am not 100% sure this played a role but I got my grant just 15 minutes ago.

I cried as its been a 4 year journey all up and now I can finally move forward.

This group has been very supportive and informative and I thank everyone for their advice.

Good luck to those waiting, I hope you get that email soon.

My signature wasnt updated when I posted this

Congratulations! That's so annoying that you had to wait for so long, but also interesting that it was granted shortly after you started using the enquiry form...

Can I ask, did they ever ask you for additional information, or like interview you, or did they just grant it when the time came?
