If it were me at Stage 2, I wouldn't have bothered redoing police checks. It's a bit different to Stage 1 where the checks can play a factor in the must enter by date. But for the 801, I had supplied them upfront and had no intention of doing them again.

you do not need to get police checks again, you would only need to get them if you lived 12 months or more abroad.

Really? I was going to do it, just so they could see I'm complying so hopefully not to cost me time in potentially being asked asking for additional information....

How common is it for them to request additional information on the 801 process before granting it? Or is it generally less common than during the 820 process?

Hello everyone,

My wife just received her 801. I lodged her file in April 2016 and her 820 was granted in April 2017. Second stage application in july 2018, and last week they granted her a visa. It was long process and i was very worried as i lodged her file myself. Thanks to God. She can stay with me without any worries.

I wish everyone here good luck.

Congratulations! I applied 801 in October 2017 and still hear nothing ! Your 801 grant faster than others process , can I ask how many years of your relationship when you logged the stage 1 820 at the beginning? Any child? Thanks
