I submitted my 801 application on May '18 (a day after my eligibility came up.) It's currently on Further Assessment. One question: Since that time, I uploaded all evidence, but there's been two 'recommended documents' on the evidence page: marriage certificate and proof of name change.

I can't provide neither because my partner and I are a de-facto couple (I've submitted our defacto registration) and while we have marriage in our future, a wedding is currently above the expenses we'd like to take (plus it's something that means a LOT to us, and we'd rather do it right). I assume the proof of name change is tied to the wedding thing. The button at the bottom of the screen that says 'I have submitted all documentation' is currently grayed out and has been so since I started my application.

Is it going to be a problem or does everyone get that? I have otherwise sent all documentation proving our continued relationship (lease proof, photographs, defacto registration, statutory statements from both of us and family/friends, constantly uploading more proof.)

820/801 application submitted :
28 June 2016

801 second stage date submitted (eligible):
20 July 2018

I havenít heard from the department of inmigration since then. Should
I fill out the partner (permanent) processing centres enquiry form?
Or I should just keep waiting to hear from them?

Thanks everyone!
Where'd you get the eligibility date from? Did you submit the 820/801 by paper and so that's where the difference comes in?

You don't need contact from the department to do Stage 2. All the email is is a courtesy reminder, and for some time last year they stopped doing that so that's probably why you never got it. But there is and has never been a requirement to wait for that reminder to do Stage 2.

It's all online now. Just create an immi account if you don't already have one, hit new application, family, then Stage 2. Do the form then upload all the required evidences and documents.

Just follow the checklist on the visa website, not the upload area in immi. It's just a generic list so not everything is relevant for everyone, as is this in your case.

I just logged into the IMMI account, and saw this:
Quote:
Application status: Initial assessment
!! Important information
This application requires additional supporting documentation. Please check correspondence and attach the requested documents.
But there are no messages requesting anything.

Has anyone else seen that even though no request has been received.

Or is that standard after the 801 eligibility date.

Mine doesn't. It simply states:

Application status: Further assessment

Important information
This application is currently being assessed. The department may contact the applicant if further supporting documentation is required.

How long will processing take?
calendar 19 months to 26 months

Maybe someone else is getting it as an error? Or try contacting them to ask about it.

Whew, thank you Skybluebrewer! I think you've answered basically any question I've made here. It means a lot!

Good luck everyone!

We submitted the 801 extra documentation last August. Although eligible last May.

I've just used the enquiry form to ask if there is something specific they need.

Hope there is no issue. Unless they just prefer to 'issue' the visa
