Hello everyone. Sorry to jump in (new here and trying to wrap my head around it all). We applied for the Partner visa 820/801 in June 2016, 820 was approved in March 2017 (after a health check request) and I haven’t heard anything since, I think this is normal but please correct me if I’m wrong? Am I right in thinking I’m eligible to apply for the permanent residency part now?

Thanks everyone!

You became eligible to update info for the 801 (PR) in June 2018, 2 years after applying for the 820.

Not everyone has been told they need to do it. There was a short period when immigration stopped telling us, and relied on us just knowing we had to.

Thank you.

I have uploaded a bunch of documents online (I did this June last year). Do you know if I have to submit them or can they be seen just as they are?

Sorry I did the first part on paper so online is a whole new world to me.

Thanks again

You need to provided as much as relationship evidence like your first stage 820 part.
If you have provided evidence in june, u dont need to provide them same again, but you can keep uploading any new evidences
What are the relationship evidence did you provide?

Hi everyone,

Sorry to just barge in like this...Yesterday was 2 years since my initial application for the 820, so I have submitted my stage 2 application yesterday. After submitting, there was underneath this section to upload my evidence, into the category other (there was no other option). So I have uploaded all my financial, social and household evidence etc into this section.
When I went back into my immi account this morning to upload some more evidence, I actually saw all the categories available. Do I need to re-upload my documents into the relevant categories, or can I assume that the immigration agent is clever enough to figure out what belongs where, as I have given it all very clear titles?
I don't want to inconvenience them by uploading it twice and them having to sift through it, but I also don't want to do the wrong thing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone! Sorry, I am new to this forum and it's my first ever post. I just need a suggestion regarding my partner's visa.
We applied for her partner visa onshore around 14 months ago through an agent. She has been approved the provisional partner visa (subcass 820) last week but the agent did not really advised us that the immigration can consider a long term relationship and approve a permanent residence instead. Me and my partner have more than 3 years relationship (living together) and also we are expecting our first child in 3 months time. Can anyone please advice if we can do anything now to request the immigration to consider her permanent residence? Unfortunately, our migration agent haven't done any case where partners have a long term relationships and get the PR granted straight away. So he is a bit hesitant to advice on the case. Kindly suggest us if there is a way to proceed to the permanent residence path submitting evidence of our long term relationship. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks and kind regards 🙂

It's at the time you made your initial application.
How long were you together when the application was made?

Pretty much the same as previous, except we have bought a house and got a mortgage together since then. I’m just wondering if I need to physically submit the paperwork (press ‘I confirm I have provided information as requested’) or if they can view the documents without me doing so? I just worry that if I press that, I won’t be able to add to it later. Is this correct?

Thank you again!

Hi if your relationship were more than 3 years at the time of initial partner visa application, then you will be eligible for direct permanent visa, otherwise not
