If your situation is similar, I think it might get your phone call soon. They only phoned me as sponsor, not my wife, and they asked if want to continue as sponsor, and if we are still in a relationship living at the same address. That is all they asked. No interview needed. The 801 was emailed to us 4 hours later.

Best wishes.

No interview for us. Only a quick phone call. Less than 2 minutes.

No agent, we did it ourselves. I did not supply a lot of information in my 820 and 801 applications, but they still feel it is OK, no interview needed.

I think the immigration department likes people from China. If they see your relationship is real and strong, they will be happy.

Looks like you sent similar evidence to what we sent. Looks like maybe you submitted more than us, which is good.

Be patient, everyone is waiting a long time. Perhaps you will get a phone call during February.

Good luck.

Hi Guys,

Well I have submitted my 801 application yesterday, we believe our application is decision ready so we tried our luck and used the inquiry form to let immi know, I am not expecting a response or that anything would be quicker but you never know with our 'awesome' government.

Things that we didn't need but we still supplied is our NPC police check from Australia (both sponsor and applicant), it does not hurt to supply a fresh one even though according to their website they do not ask for it if you have when you submitted it with your 820 BUT there is a sentence that says that for immigration purposes the police check is valid for a year.

Good luck to everybody and I will keep you guys posted on any changes.

Cheers.
