It's quite a long time. Is there any reason it takes them so long? As you are from the UK I thought they shoul process it within 8 months on avg. Have you supplied all the required documents?

Not a long time at all - processing time is 19 months I believe from memory (there or thereabouts)

Yes everything is supplied. I’m not sold on the department being too organised judging by others being granted before mine but applying after, it doesn’t make sense. I think if it were possible to ‘lift the hood’ it’s probably a bit of a shambles behind the scenes. We must sit and wait in anycase.

They can only issue a certain number of visas each year. Some have to be held in the queue for later.

Question

[QUOTE=Pominauz;1936195]Not a long time at all - processing time is 19 months I believe from memory (there or thereabouts)

Processing time is 20 months for 75% of applicants. Assuming none are granted within the first 7 months, it means that 75% of applications submitted in a specific year will be granted between 7 to 20 months. Some people will get it within 8 some within 10 etc. My point is that from what I can see, if you have a strong case and you have ticked all the right boxes you are most likely to get it within the time frame of 8 to 12 months.

So I could get it tomorrow or at 20 months - hence my timeline is hard to argue ‘long time’given this logic.

Congrats everyone who got theirs I cant wait for mine to come through, i want to be a nurse and have been accepted into a placement but i need this visa before i can start >.< This is so FRUSTRATING! :P

820 applied march 2017
820 granted 2nd jan 2018
801 applied Jan 2019 (2 months early)
801 granted - waiting

And the timeline went up, i assume its due to a large amount of people applying over xmas ... Most people on the spreadsheet get theirs in 8ish months, so hoping for a new years present in my email box

Thank you for your reply... Not sure if we can shoot another inquiry to them?
As i heard some cases after couple of inquiries and phone calls, the application had been rejected with some random and silly reasons (which should not be reasons at all)
