There is alot of other proof you can show ie. The part of the tax return that shows you declaring your spouse. Your spouse being an authorised contact on your ATO account.

Hello everyone!

Great to see grants happening!

I haven't posted for awhile as I decided to put visa issues aside and enjoy my life with my hubby. Since 820 was granted last year, I've since had a precious baby boy.

I became eligible for 801 yesterday, but can't submit my application as I have a new passport and need to update DIBP. I plan to submit form 929 this week.

The new changes to Partner Visa (3 year on 820 whatever that means) has me concerned as I'm hoping they do not apply changes retroactively. It's only fair that a new rule should apply to new applicants only, but we've seen the debacle of the new citizenship changes.

Anyone knows how quickly DIBP updates new passport information?

I'm eager to submit my 801 app!

Hi everyone,

My eligible date is 22 June 2016. However, we have just submitted new evidence in March 2017 due to a problem with our agent who was completely hopeless.

We've been married for 5 years and together for 6 years. I'm just very worried and not sure if whether we will have to wait 15 months from March this year or they will count the time from June 2016.

if anyone know the answer, we are so stressed out and just want this process to be over.

Thanks.

Police check

Sorry just had a complete brain fog, after applying for the 801 do I need an up to date police check from my country of Birth ? I.E I gave them one from AUS and UK when I applied for my 820 then only gave a new AUS one on my 801 application, do I need the new UK one too ?

@syd; as far as i know, one of my friends submitted it in person to the nearest office and the changing was straight away (it was last year, idk about now... sorry).
And if you are sending it by post/email, then it may takes 7-10 days or could be faster (that's what i heard). Afterwards, you can check VEVO whether the change has taken place or not.
Cheers!

Thanks for that! I will send it by registered mail tomorrow and hope that it's acted on quickly. If it takes more than 10 days then I'll call them. I don't think they accept it over the counter anymore.

You don't need UK police check, assuming you haven't spent 12 months there since granted 820.
