Where are you getting all this information?

How do I see where my case for 801 is being assessed? I'm guessing the best place to be assessed is within Australia?
My 820 I believe was granted from Kuala Lumpar, at least i got an email from them from a CO at the KL department right before it was granted...

I'm a bit worried now as it seems like if I got a bad roll of the dice here, I may have to wait 20 so months, despite uploading everything within a week

My 820 I think was granted from the Kuala Lumpar family department as I got an email from them asking for more information a week before my 820 was granted....

Hi everyone just a quick update on my application

My case was remitted back by AAT to the department of home affairs for reconsideration with the direction that the applicant (i.e me) meets the following criteria for a subclass 801 (partner) visa.

Just wanted to know if anybody is on the same boat as mine and what is the current processing time for 801 grant and what further documents would they ask for?

I’ve been living in Australia for past 11 years would they still ask for PCC and form 80?

Thanks

My timeline
Applied : 14/Feb/2013
820 granted : 16/Feb/2014
801 refused : 28/Oct/2016
Lodged AAT : 21/Nov/2016
AAT HEARING : 13/Nov/2017
AAT Remitted Back : 21/Feb/2019
801 : Still Waiting

Hi guys

I am so glad that I got my 801 visa approval last week!!!

I think I should updated some information for the waiting group as I have gained so much useful information when I am waiting for 801 approval.

We applied 820 visa in October 2015 and we got the approval in just 3 months.

As I was too lazy I did not apply for the second stage(801 visa) until September last year. However, I still received the approval within 5 months after the 801 lodgement. We have not been contacted by the immigration department during the application process and not received any phone calls or request for further information.

Btw, we are same sex couple from China.

The following is my timeline.

Applied for 820: Oct 2015
820 Visa Grant: Feb 2016
Applied for 801: Sept 2018 (11 month late)
801 Visa Grant: Feb 2019

Is there a way you can tell what office handles your application?

Our Visa grants showed the office that processed the grant.

The 300 was Manila, Philippines. Applied for in the Philippines
The 820 was Temporary Partner Processing Centre - Brisbane, Queensland, Applied for in QLD, Australia
The 801 was Permanent Partner Processing Centre - Victoria. Applied for in QLD, Australia

Every visa so far, 5 including visitor visas, has been granted in the country of application.

The Processing office, for the 801, was shown on the email received, not on the grant document itself.

On an email regarding our 820 application, it did have this wording:
In an effort to manage the increasing number of Partner visa applications being lodged in Australia and improve service times, the Department of Immigration and Border Protection is utilising its global network to assist with visa processing and manage its workload efficiently.
If you have received correspondence from an overseas post, please respond to the contact address provided in the email or letter.
Some work may be done anywhere overseas, but the grant may still be done in Australia?
