Hi there, has anyone enquired in regards to their process at 6ish month mark into the process? If so, how and what did you mention? I feel so stuck with no visa and I'm super duper ready to get it

Probably a bit early to do that at 6 months, there would be a pretty standard reply from immigration to wait until after the normal times.

Patience is something that we have to be able to handle, and it is a pain, during the process.

I feel like the enquiry sort of wakes them up and urge them to have a quick look at this specific application. Obv it's my opinion, however none of us really know. My agent has told me to wait till 7 month mark and then to send an enquiry. Although, I wanted to see if anyone has done it. Haha no way I'm waiting 26 months to enquire. I mean it's quite a simple case what we have I don't think there will be any doubts. Also, the 820 took us 3 weeks and my agent has told me she had 2 cases that got granted within 4 months so yes.. Trying to be positive

A lot of the 801's are being done in 12 months or less, from eligibility time, at the moment. Ours, last month, took 9 months, a bit faster than I expected..

If your IMMI account shows that they are waiting for something, then it is worth sending an enquiry to ask what they are waiting for.

I agree with JandE. On the same token though, I don't know that it hurts to send an enquiry if you're asking if they need anything else.. Once I have my son's FBI background check in hand and submit it, I plan to send an enquiry in about a month. My main reasoning is probably the same as others: waiting to buy a house, can't advance in my career without PR, son waiting to transfer to University here in Australia due to paying higher fees without PR, etc. Waiting on PR has already cost me an advanced position at work, which really sucks. But, it is what it is. I'm stuck until I get PR, as I can't do my further qualifications without it. Obviously, I know everyone is probably dealing with one or more of these issues and we all want our grants as soon as possible. The waiting is difficult, for sure. Just know that you aren't alone.

Does anyone know how to contact them via email? I only see ‘complaints, suggestions and compliments’

https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help...s-enquiry-form

This service is only to be used to contact the Department in relation to a permanent partner application currently being processed

Yes, it's good to see the time dropping instead of increasing. I remember when it used to be 6-9 months processing times! LOL
