Does anybody know what the quickest 801 grant was? Is it possible to receive it within 4 to 7 months after lodgement?

Unlikely.

The two fastest I have seen in 2019 took 8.6 months from 801 eligibility date, both from Europe.
There have also been 4 in the 9.x months range.
That is from 17 that I have seen.

Does it really matter what country you're from? It isn't like low risk countries get it quicker than high risk countries. I feel like there's no absolute answer. Just spoke to my agent and she told me she had a lady who got her visa granted after 4 months.

JandE, are you a migration agent or anything like this? It seems like you have a bit more knowledge than the average applicant

No, just have time on my hands to look at data. Nothing else to do now that we have the 801 grant (And I seem to have spent my life analysing data)

We began this visa journey in 2015, so have 4 years of following things day in and day out.

Regarding the time taken for different countries, The fastest five in 2019 were from:
UK, Sweden, Philippines, India, USA.

The longest five were from:
Tanzania, China, China, Jordan, India.

This is only from a small sample though.

The one you mention got it in 4 months? Any more info on that, as it is quick.

When did you do the 820 application ?

Same same... Well in my case I think I am the only one from my country who is migrating based on a partner visa.
We applied for the 820 on Oct the 5th 2016. We got the 820 granted within 2 weeks after. For the 801, we prepared everything prior to lodgement and applied on spot (exact day I was entitled).
My agent didn't tell me as I didn't ask, however she did call their line to try and understand where it's standing.
All she said was there was another girl who applied a month before not from Israel and got it within 4 months (as for 2019).
Also, as far as I remember you got yours within 4 months after lodgement but 9 after eligibility. As long as mine is coming before 9 months I am happy 🙂

I think we will send an enquiry.

What has everyone been writing for an enquiry email?

Is this the form used?

Hi,

Yup that's the correct link.

It's been a long wait for us, both having come from the PMV in June 2015, and both from the Philippines.
44 and 45.7 months from PMV application to 801 Grant.

It's a relief to be over.

We sent the enquiry last night and just asked if there was anything else required.

We uploaded a new AFP check late last year as the other one had expired.

My wife initially applied for her PMV from the Philippines in Feb 2014 so we are over 5 years into the process so far.

7 Feb 2014 PMV applied
11 Dec 2014 PMV granted
27 Jun 2015 820 applied
29 Jul 2015 820 granted
29 Jun 2017 801 submitted

I have my fingers crossed for you. That's a long time.

Hope your enquiry jogs them along.
