Travelling overseas will not cause an issue as you can be anywhere in the world when the visa is granted.

I would send an email just to let them know that you are travelling overseas, the dates you are travelling and how they can reach you if they need to ie. email only. No need to add any attachments to the email. However, you can upload them to the immi account if you want.

In regards to AFP DIBP told me last week that they do have some discretion on the police checks, but I am unsure on how much. There is no harm in getting another one and uploading it incase they need an updated one.
Thanks mish, do you know the email adress that i should email?

They haven't had any response yet, it was just earlier in the week that they were told they would not investigate it by the ombudsman. However, there was another person that had the same response a couple of months ago and they got contacted by DIBP not long after. It is always hard to tell what the outcome will be when you complain as every case is different.

It's a soul draining visa, but I know (hope) it'll be worth it in the end! Good to know thanks Mish, I'll post if I decide to complain down the line.

Is that even with DIBP trying to clear as many decision ready apps as they can? Or is that just for 820/309 visas? I'd think they'd be able to really fly through the 801s if everything is presented up front.

Congrats to those who have gotten their grants!
OMG I disappear from the forum for a few weeks (cause I've just been keeping up on the facebook group) and you've been granted your 820! Congrats!

Hi All,
I am in the process of applying online for the 801 and I have two questions
1- we both nominated each other for our supper fund and I am wondering where to put this under financial aspect section or commitment section of the statuary declaration questions.
2- I am confused about the question” give details about the development of the relationship” does that mean detail the history of our relationship since we first met till we got married?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated

1/ I put it under commitment
2/ Everything for the 801 is since the grant of the 820. It is talking about how your relationship has strengthened.

Husband has 801, so he doesn't have to notify immigration of a change of address does he?

Hi All,
when you fill the STATUTORY DECLARATION there is this section:
-That our relationship began in ("Insert the year your spousal relationship commenced.")

my question is this refers to the year when we got engaged (I came from PMV) or the year we start living together or the year we got married.

Your thoughts is highly appreciated

Hi everyone,
I am a little confused with the 801. In terms of identification documentation, do i need to re-upload everything that I uploaded in the 820?

Of course, I am going to upload new supporting evidence like tickets and a new rental agreement but i'm confused if i need to reupload all of my, for example, drivers license, passport, when it is all the same as the ones that I uploaded in the 820.

Edit --> Sorry it sounds like a silly question but i ask as there are sections asking for passport etc and yet all of this was uploaded in the 820.

Thank you for any feedback you can offer.
