When you say "Missing" did you mean they lost some of your documents or they are waiting for the documents that you guys have not yet supply?

Frustrating as all hell, if my wife was on that timeline from a June 17 eligibility we would be gearing up for her citizenship application shortly, but still waiting 21 months later.

I will definitely follow things up with my local MP once my wife gets her grant, not going to jeopardise it now though.

Are you able to FOI your file after grant? Be interesting to see the actual timeline.

Lodged 820 - 2/8/16
Granted - 26/3/17
Lodged 801 - 5/8/18
801 Waiting time - 8 months and 5 days so far.
I’m a June 2018 eligibility so I really hope they’re going in order and mine is coming really soon 🤞🏻

I applied for my 801 Visa on 31-May-2018 and still no word about my application. Can't help bu be disheartened when i see people who applied the same time as me and even later getting approved.

I just want this part of my life over with. I started my PMV application in 2014 and it's been sooooo long.

Just read up on the changes that are coming on 17th April, I can't believe it...

How likely is this change going to cause 801 waiting times to become a lot lot longer now, after already taking into account how ridiculous the current wait estimates are?

The changes shouldn't effect all of us who already have visas in progress. Besides, with the PMV or the 820/309 visas, the sponsors were approved during the visa process. So, shouldn't make any difference to all those going for our 801s. The only one's it's going to effect are new partner/family stream visa applicants.

I hope you're right.
I see that you applied for your 801 over half a year ago now, just wondering if you've tried using the online enquiry form yet?

The thing is, sponsor approval is already part of the visa process. Except it's done during the whole visa application. This new law simply means that part has to be done before application. Yes, it's a hassle, but it shouldn't effect our visas in any way.

I did send an enquiry after about 3 months, but got the standard reply email. The reason I sent one so soon after lodgement is because I was going for a higher position at work, but need my 801 perm resident for the position. That's since come and gone; I didn't get the position due to my status. At this stage, I'm just waiting on my oldest son's FBI check (should be done any day now); he's been at University in the USA for over 12 months now while we're waiting for our perm visa, so we're supplying his police check before they ask. Once we get it, I'll send another enquiry. I've also been updating with pictures, utlity bills, etc every few months to show our ongoing relationship.
