Then, right after that, I got an email requesting a State police check for my oldest son since he's been at Uni in the US (we supplied the FBI check but I didn't think about a State check). So, don't lose hope folks! <img src="http://www.australiaforum.com/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />
Congrats! Is this after you submitted another enquiry form to them?

Yes, yesterday. Asked if they needed any additional documents to complete the processing of our visa.

awesome! I wonder if it's too early for me to send mine. Youve been waiting about 7 months now right?

Yes, it's been 7 months. Almost 8 if you count that I applied almost a month early. I actually thought I'd provided everything needed for a grant; but, didn't realise they'd want a State Police check for my son. They didn't request them for the 820, thus I didn't even think about a State check for the 801...I thought the FBI check would be sufficient, as it covers the entire country and they actually go through state databases. Oh well. My son said he's going to go get the State check tomorrow, as he can walk in and request it in person (faster that way). I'm hoping they'll print it for him there and then, so he can upload it directly. If not, we'll have to wait until it arrives in the mail. The big shocker was the CO calling my husband while we were driving. She called him 4 times, and I told him to just answer it the 4th time (was a private number and didn't leave a voicemail). Thank goodness he did! Was the fastest call though. All she did was verify his name and DOB, then asked him if we're still in an ongoing relationship. That was it. I'm a little afraid to get excited, because I've seen people wait months even after they've supplied the requested documents. But I guess we'll see.

Note the "further assessment", for whats it's worth (if anything)

Just wondering if you received specific request for all those "Other(specify)" uploads?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I just uploaded everything to the one place, because that was the only option, there weren't any categories like with the 820.

I submitted for an AFP Police check 16 days ago now, online and I still haven't heard back. I checked earlier and apparently it should only take 2 days or so? Does anybody know how long its taken them previously to get their AFP checks back?

I had an email confirming it'd been done within 24 hours, then got it in the post a few days later. This was six months ago.

I'd imagine the postman didn't push it in the full way then and some idiot has stolen it from my letterbox
