Did you get the confirmation email from the AFP?

"We are pleased to confirm that your National Police Check (NPC) has been completed and your certificate will be dispatched the next business day via Australia Post service to your nominated mailing address. Please note that current postage times are 3-7 working days within Australia and 10-20 working days for international post."

If not, then maybe chase it up with them. If so, then hopefully it's just running late and not the alternative.

I did find this on their FAQs page: Please do not contact us before at least 15 business days has passed to enquire about your check. You will receive an email advising that we have received and are processing your application, as well as an email advising when your application has been finalised and your certificate mailed to you.

If I remember correctly, it took us about 2 weeks to get our AFPs. Still, we did get the confirmation emails right after applying. Sometimes AusPost is pretty quick, sometimes it takes ages. Could just be that you haven't gotten it yet. I'd do what Sky suggests and wait until you hit the 15 business days. Remember, we just had all the holidays (Easter/ANZAC day), so that could have held up the post.

Have you been waiting that long?? If so, you really need to send an enquiry to ask about being outside of the processing timeline. That's absurd! There is also a complaint division and if you still do not get an answer, the ombudsman. I would definitely be making contact with Immi waiting that long.

Thank you for answer. We did the investigation, and our local MP was interested for us.The answer was that it is a complex case and we would expect.
The next week we make a complaint.
My son 22 year old is also with my , he is very sad because he can't start a school here to make a career. You understand me because you have your son in application. Here something should be changed in the legislation, children added to 820/801 visa to be able to do school at the same prices with the citizens here.😎🤔

I can understand why they do what they do. However, my kids were able to go to high school on the 820 without having to pay international fees; so, you'd think that University would be included in that as well. It is hard, but we're doing what we have to while we wait. I really hope you are able to get this sorted soon. It's not easy waiting and I can't imagine having to wait as long as you have. Now that you've done the complaint, did they respond to it? If not, I'd say it's time for you to file with the Ombudsman.

Okay, that explains the location you uploaded to but the actual information, was that requested?

It is for applicants who are considered to have been in a long term relationship at time of application.

A long-term relationship is defined as existing for at least three years, or two years if you have a child together.

The extra bite of $1195 to apply for Permanency is a bit cheeky but you get to set any price as the government.
It should be treated as a new application in its own right with a full set of updated evidence. I have been getting them approved in about 3 months lately. The $ 1195.00 VAC is a discounted fee for sc. 300 holders. And yes, the government knows that people have no choice and can charge whatever they want, as demand is high.
