My husband applied for the 820 in june 2017 and was granted 820 in may 2019 in the process applying for 801.

I have a question about applying for the 801 I know the sponsor has to fill out the stat dec supplied but should the applicant provided a statement about the relationship?

The applicant's statements are in the application itself. However, you can provide an additional statement if you wish.

Received another email from VIC SSP Processing today requesting the Sponsor's Statutory Declaration for our 801. Crazy thing is that we uploaded it under my husband's name on 25 Sep 2018. I've emailed back to say where it is, but also attached a copy to the email. Makes me wonder if they really looked through the application to make a decision or just did a quick perusal. Hoping to hear good news soon...though I'm afraid to get my hopes up. Sigh.

That is so annoying. Personally, I'd just keep bothering them at this point until you get the grant. You're obviously decision ready, and the fact that there has been a back and forth dialogue would indicate that a decision is on the horizon

Just logged into my immi portal and noticed that the Estimated Processing Time:19 months to 25 months.
This means a 1 month drop for both 75% and 90% waits.

I agree...it really is frustrating that now they are asking for things that we've supplied. The application is decision ready. Just need that golden "ticket." I may try to call in the morning, if I can get through. It's difficult as I'm a teacher, so have to be at school in the morning and can't sit on hold for a long time. It's ok though, if I look on the bright side, at least they are looking at our documents at this stage, right? LOL

That is so bizarre. I uploaded my partner's stat dec under his section too.
Can't believe they didn't ask for it the same time they asked for your son's document, seem to prolong the grant a bit.
Hope this is the last document they need and the grant is on your way!

I have noticed a few of the longer term application getting finalised in the last month.

Possibly also getting on with their jobs IAW the legislation while govt in caretaker mode rather than Mr Potato Head slowing things down.

I would expect things to slow down again as part of the Coalition's plan was further "austerity" measures within govt departments.

It was a different person when they asked for the State PC, compared to this latest one asking for something we've already submitted. So to me, that shows this latest CO who looked at the application didn't look at everything, or they would have seen the stat dec clearly labeled under my husband's uploads: "Sponsor 801 Statutory Declaration."
