2.75 :O omg thats so good! how did u get it so fast?

did you send an enquiry or something? and do you happen to know where it was processed (itll say at the bottom of each page of your grant letter)
Yes, we sent an inquiry.

About a month after applying (late April), we sent an inquiry saying that we wish to be considered for a fast decision based on the length of our relationship. (When my partner and I applied back in March 2017 we had been in a long term relationship. However, the PR 801 was not granted when we received the TR 820, even though we asked to be considered for PR straightaway)

So, the two factors we believe were key for the fast decision on the PR 801 were:

-The length of our relationship (and the fact that we did not get the PR 801 at the same time than the TR 820, when theoretically we should have)
-How beautifully organised our application was (We submitted a complete application in only 24 PDF documents, as opposed to those who upload +40 documents. Obviously, the fewer documents they need to check, the faster it'll be)

But again... I suppose is a bit of luck too Despite how long our relationship already was in March 2017 and how well we also organised our application back then, it took +15 months to get the TR 820 so

Might be a stupid question, my partner and I will be lodging our 801 soon, but I've read that some people were asked to provide addition information/evidence after submitting their application for the 801. My question is:

"if you're asked to provide further evidence, does the department tell you specifically what evidence they want or I'd it like a general thing?"

Thank in advance

Yes they tell you I had to add extra social documents for my 820 and the request came via email with my health check request

Joining the queue for 801 application!

Our history:
Stage 1
20 Jun 2017 - Applied for 820
12 Oct 2017 - Received request for more information including health checks
6 Dec 2017 - Submitted all required information
12 Dec 2017 - Granted 820

Stage 2
20 May 2019 - Received notification of eligibility for 801
24 June 2019 - Submitted application for 801 including all documents

As many have noted, the document categories didn't come up as they have for 820 application. So I uploaded everything into Other Documents and label them accordingly to reflect the 4 main categories. See attached images for ideas.

Also my application went on to "Further Assessment" status within a few hours of submitting the application.

Hi all

My wife (from Vietnam) and I submitted the first of her partner visa on the 29th December 2014, and subsequently lodged the 801 on the 6th January 2017. This was all onshore.

Currently it is showing wait time of 22-26 months, initially it was 9-12 months (I think). I have called/email within the last 2 months and they just tell me to wait.

Is this wait time normal? It just says received in the immiaccount. I regularly update it with information/photos.

Thanks for any advice.

Chris

No, a 30 month wait for 801 is not normal.

Recent 801 grants (in June 2019) have been: 12.7, 12.1, 14.7, 10.7, 11.3, 4.1, 7.3, 7.0, 2.7 and 7.9 months

When was the 820 granted?

Didn't you start off with a 309 Visa? or did you manage to get started on the 820?
