309 -> 100
820 -> 801

Try the 100 waiting group thread. Both 100 and 801 are partner visa PRs, but the subclass is determined by offshore or onshore application. If you applied for the 309/100 (which is the offshore one), then you're eligible for the 100.

Doesn't make much difference as the whole process is the same, but differentiating now might save you some confusion when it gets granted and it's not an 801 lol.

820 is granted, still waiting on 801. Is any other visa needed to travel to the USA for 2 weeks and back?

Nope. 820 allows travel.

So, we got our TR in Sep 2017, and finally our PR application is progressing. Home Affairs have asked for more information. One item they have asked for is

"Evidence of family recognition. Statutory declaration written by members of your sponsor’s immediate family detailing their knowledge of your spousal relationship. Please include certified copies of the declarant’s current passports for identification purposes."

I am the sponsor, so I guess I can have my mother and grandmother write statutary declarations about our relationship. However, neither of them have passports.

After some advice - would the next best step be to write back to DHA and ask them if they will accept other photo ID (eg. license) as identity?

Currently it is showing wait time of 22-26 months, initially it was 9-12 months (I think). I have called/email within the last 2 months and they just tell me to wait.

Is this wait time normal? It just says received in the immiaccount. I regularly update it with information/photos.

Thanks for any advice.

Chris
Hi Chris i been waiting for over 26 months now. Will you please post as soon as you hear from immigration. I will highly appreciate it.

My sister in law didn't have a passport when she did the form 888 for us. She was able to use her birth certificate and driver's license.

On another note, now that the EOFY has arrived, I expect a slow down of grants for a bit. Can anyone remember if there were many July/August grants in past years?

I've sent 3 enquiries at this stage and still no visa grant. I've had several people tell me to just keep up the pressure on IMMI; but I'm hesitant to do so. I don't want to pester them. Just stuck in limbo in my career, buying a house, my son's University education here in Australia, etc. We hit the 9 month mark in a few days (10 months from when I submitted the 2nd stage). My agent and mortgage broker are both anxiously waiting for my PR to come through, as are my employers. I've updated evidences every few months...but now I'm worrying that I'm giving way too much stuff to wade through. Sorry for the whinge...just getting anxious as I've had 2 communications from IMMI, have provided everything they've asked for and still no grant. I'm trying to be patient; but it's hard when you're constantly being asked if the grant has come in yet. LOL
