Hi

Is statutory declaration from sponsor's immediate family necessary when asked by DOHA during 801. What if the family of sponsor is not happy with the relation due to cultural believes. what can be done there?

Are you referring to the form 888's?
They can be done by anyone, not just family members.

I am not sure, but your nationality might make a difference? What is your Nationality?

We did nothing extra above the 888's.

Hi Guys,

On behalf of my friend who is waiting for sc 820 visa, I would like to ask you a question.

He has been waiting for the last 2 years. He applied on 30 June 2017. This is exactly 2 years to yesterday.

If he is to be granted, can he possible be granted 801 together with the 820 l? I have seen with friends who applied offsore for 309/100 and the two visa were granted consecutively after 2 years of waiting.

Please anyone.

I am an Indian, i haven't been asked of this yet but i read someone posted in this group 3 days ago that they have been asked for "Evidence of family recognition. Statutory declaration written by members of your sponsorís immediate family detailing their knowledge of your spousal relationship".

It might be a nationality thing. We didn't get that.

Just because one applicant has to do something doesn't mean it is the same for everyone.

It could be an issue as an Indian but would depend on the case officer and if they look at Indian culture. From what I have seen they look more closely at culture for Indian couples and that both parents are aware of the relationship and support it.

Hi guys,

Did anyone lodge their 801 application only 23 months after 820 application?

They keep saying everywhere that you are only eligible for 801 2 years after your initial application but at the same time the official website states the following:

"We start assessing you for the permanent visa two years after you lodged your visa application. You can attach the documents up to one month before the two years date. Do not attach them before this time."

My 2 year date is approaching but I am not sure if I should wait for exactly two years or submit everything 1 month earlier. Please help!

I lodged mine 1 month early. Please keep in mind that processing begins from the eligibility date (24 months after lodging 820). I'm 9 months from eligibility, 10 months from when I did my 801 application/uploaded documents. I don't think it much matters, as they aren't going to look at it before the eligibility date. However, it was nice to get things done before hand. It's really up to you on what you want to do.

We did ours 3 months after and still got the grant 9 months from eligibility date.

Apparently they don't look at it until the 2 year date anyway, so it isn't really important.
