It does look like about 50% are getting them in under 12 months, ie: between 2 and 12 months.

It could actually be something like:
25% under 3 months
50% under 12 months
75% under 22 months
90% under 26 months (ie: 10% over 26 months)

It is a pity that immigration do not give a better breakdown of the actual times, instead of just the 75% and 90%.

I guess most people fall under 12 -22 months category.

Going by the figures earlier, it would be about 25% in the 12-22 months category.
ie:
25% under 3 months
25% 3 to 12 months
25% 12 to 22 months
15% 22 to 26 months
10% over 26 months.

But, that is only based on forum results.

I think realistically,
10% under 3 months
25% 3 to 12 months
40% 12 to 22 months
15% 22 to 26 months
10% over 26 months.

Before introducing my situation I would just like to thank each one of you as this group has been a great emotional support for us.

My timeline is:

820/801 application date: 13/04/2016

820 Grant date: 5/04/2017

801 application date: 17/04/2018

801 Grant date: still waiting

My partner Justin and I have applied for a combined partner visa application with the help of a Migration Agent. During the past year (after the 801 application), he has been kind of weird, not replying to my emails and he did not provide us with proofs that he actually submitted all the documents that I was emailing to him.

After several annoying episodes we have decided to withdraw his appointment to act on my behalf and what I have found out was even weirder.

He has submitted (by the 7th of June 2019 - 14 months after we have applied) just 30 documents or less not including the following:

- Justin's passport

- ID documents from the people who have written the 888 declaration forms

- New updated address

- De Facto relationship registration

- Form 80

- Some of our holiday tickets

I have added all the missing documents (total up today 80) on June 2019, and I have called the DIBP on June 2019 as I was shocked and the call center helped me a lot, so I have completed the electronic communication form and I have been able to email the department (VIC - processing center). I have updated them and asked to check if something was missing, explaining kind of our situation and the reply was that I have submitted the evidence and that no case officer was assigned. Great. One month after I have realized that the RMA has written on my application that I have been 1 month in Thailand (I have never been there in my whole life), so I have updated the field "giving wrong information" explaining the situation again.

In the application's home page I see "received" as a status and the last update is on the 7th June 2019, even if I have added other documents later on.

Will someone ever look at my application? I think that because of this incompetent RMA all our process has been delayed and we are really stressed and confused. Do you guys have any advice? I am from Italy and my partner is a dual citizen by birth (Australian and Italian) so low-risk Country.
Should I do something else or did I act correctly?

Aww congrats you two! It's an awesome feeling when you know you don't have to keep random bits of evidence anymore lol.

Hope someone can give me some advice, thank you in advance!

I submitted my 801 application in Feb 2019(5 months ago) and need to go overseas for a week next month. I don't think there will be an outcome for me so soon, but what Westly said in another thread worries me a lot " If you are overseas and you are refused, you lose your review rights."

Should I notify DOHA of my upcoming trip? Please advise, Thank you!

I am pretty sure we are supposed to notify Immigration of any travel, while waiting for the grant.

The risk of being outside and getting a refusal is something to consider.

I have seen four 801 grants in under 6 months in the last two months, (out of 21 grants), so a decision is always possible around now. The average was 11 months.

Where are you from?

I'm jumping in the 801 queue!

820 Applied: 19 August 2017
820 Granted: 20 September 2018
801 Applied: 20 July 2019 (after receiving email from immigration saying I could start uploading documents)
801 eligibility: 19 August 2019

I'm still getting a lot of documents together such as Form 888's and Sponsor's Stat Declaration and waiting for settlement date for a house we bought together (9th of August) so I can provide them with a copy of the deed of the house with both names on it as Joint Tenants, which will still happen before the date of eligibility anyway.

Good luck to everyone else! I've been in Australia for 12 years now, so what's another 22-26 months waiting period..
