Seeking professional advice

Hi everyone, I am an Aussie citizen with a defacto partner - we are 2 guys based near Perth. He has been through the 820 route and has been waiting for 801 for ages. The decision deadline keeps getting extended. He has now been told it is 20 months but we are afraid it might be extended even more. As his sponsor had 2 telephone interviews at the end of Feb, around 15 months, but still no decision. We are looking for an expert migration agent experienced with defacto partner 2 guys to help us. Can you suggest anyone ? Many thanks

We have a few good agents who post on this forum who do alot of partner visa's. You can contact them to see if they have experience. Their forum names are: CCMS, MarkNortham, WRussell and JeremyHooper.

Unfortunately agents can't speed up the processing times.

Hi everyone!!!
Just thought I would share the good news I just received! I have been granted my 801 :')

As I mentioned a few days earlier I submitted a complaint to the Ombudsman after receiving a response from immi...i then received an email from Immi asking me to submit a new Police Check, which arrived this morning. I submitted it, then my application on Immi changed straight away to "Application in Progress"...I then refreshed the page after a few minutes and it said "Finalised" and got an email saying Granted!!!! I just started crying :')

So if you applied for the 801 around May/June you should be hearing back soon!

Thank you for your email.

We are actively working on your family visa application. Currently, your
wife's visa application is undergoing mandatory departmental check. The
visa application will be concluded after the completion of checks.

i emailed to immigration abour our Application process,, and in return they emailed me above..
what does it mean..?
how long we have to wait

It means exactly what they say that they are doing mandatory checks so can be health, character, relationship or security checks.

Nobody can tell you how long it will be you just need to be patient.

Hello,

I am currently waiting for my 801, don't expect it anytime soon. However I have recently found out I'm pregnant and was wondering do I need to inform immi of this or wait until the baby is born.
What would be the best way to inform them?

:-)

Hey all,

It's been awhile. Just started my 801 application after the two years eligibility. That went by quick.

I'm currently applying online and wanted to share with you something that I found in the Immigration Website. I just realised online applications do not necessarily need to be certified by a JP.

This information can be found via Partner visa (subclasses 820 and 801)

Thank you again for this helpful community. Hope I gave something back.
