I have no reason to ask for a fast grant - no kids no compelling reason.
I asked something about travelling on 820 visa - actually I know the answer just sent the enquires to bring the attention. I didn't expect a reply.
Lol hopefully my enquiry can bring the attention too

Does the sponsor need a new police clearance when applying for the 801? I already provided it for the 820. Also can you only start the sponsor application after the applicant's had been submitted? I was having problems progressing the sponsor application as it couldn't link.

No, you shouldn't need new police clearances for the 801 if they were supplied during the 820. However, that is only if you or the sponsor has stayed in Australia the whole time and haven't spent 12 months or more in another place. Sometimes, they do request new PCCs.

Also, for the 801, the sponsor doesn't have an application like the 820. Instead, the sponsor fills out a sponsor's Statutory Declaration. You can find that here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/form...ec_sponsor.pdf

Hope that helps.

Hi
Applied 801 last month, my partner's family lives in Wollongong and she wants to live with her family for next 2 years until we get married. Can that be an issue if she lives and works there? We still have the lease under both of our names?

When was your 820 granted?

If you applied for the 820 on 15 March 2018, the eligibility for the 801 isn't until March 2020.

Yes. Need to live together or not permanently apart. Which doesn’t mean we decided to live apart cause we want but they have to be overseas/interstate/unworkable commuting distance for work for a while and I can’t go with them cause I have work here but it’s only a few months with a foreseeable end date so no point me moving with them.
Doesn’t matter if lease is under both your names unless you’re pretending she lives there with you (which I don’t recommend)
Sorry

Hello everyone,
I have been granted my 801 visa two days ago! Eligibility date was in October 2018. It took 11 months to get PR.

Hi. All i know is the Immigration will be very keen to look if you both are living together physically. Even if the lease is both under your name it is not a major evidence to prove that you have a continuous relationship when applying for 801. Or better make sure that evidence like phone calls, text or any form of media should be recorded to prove that you are still together inspite of the distance. I heard some stories that even phots does not stand now as evidence as this can be stage as well.
