Has anybody sent the enquiry form and received a reply?
If so how long did it take?

I got the reply 3 mins after sending out the email. I'm sure that was a automatic reply. Rather than that I have no further reply

The estimated time frame for 801 is now showing 17 - 24 months. We are now about to hit 17 months so hopefully not so long now.

Looking for a bit of advice, hubbys 820 granted March 2015.

Life passed us by so quickly, and we didn't do anything for the 801 visa. This was just pushed to the bottom of this list. A house and couple kids later it and all of a sudden it had been 4 and half years!

Now immigration has requested all the information, which we have mostly provided (still waiting for AFP clearance).

Is the 24 month waiting period for 801 starting now? or does this start from when we lodged 820 visa in 2015?

Thanks

You could have lodged the 801 updates, 24 months after lodging the 820.

Hopefully you get the 801 pretty quickly after submitting everything now.

Having a house and kids does give extra proof of continuing relationship.

hi all, i need your advice regarding Statutory Declaration witnessed overseas.

one of my witnesses (form 888) was on long holiday in the Philippines, i wanted to wait for him to come back to Adelaide and help me with the 888 form but i dont know why he did complete and have the form signed by a "notary public" attorney in the Philippines on Sep 5th 2018.

my concern is whether or not the form is legally recognized by the home affair dept? I researched on the internet and i got this site https://www.ag.gov.au/Publications/S...s/default.aspx saying that from 18 September 2018, "provides a notary public (however described) appointed overseas, exercising his or her functions at that place, is able to witness a Commonwealth statutory declaration. This is in addition to notary publics who are appointed in Australia". but this came into effect from 18 Sept 2018, about 2 weeks after the date the form was signed.

I can always ask my friend to redo it in Australia but i already submitted that form. would it be ok? thanking you very much for your help

Thank you all for your input, it has been among the few things that has kept me sane during this process. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!
