I have a question.

I noticed that some people had posted previously that they submitted Form 80 with their 801 application. Is that necessary?

I checked the immi website and there is no mention that Form 80 is a requirement for 801.

I know in some cases it is a requirement for 820.
I had to submit Form 80 for the 820 as immi requested that from me.

Do I need to submit Form 80 again for the 801?

Will they come back to me later on and ask me to submit it once again for the 801??

We were asked for the Form 80 for the 820, but not for the 801.

If they need it again, they would ask you.

I've got a question regarding my husbands 801 visa. We applied 8 months late back in may 2018 under the advice of our migration agent (we were actually eligible to apply back in Sept 2017, as he got his 820 visa in Sept 2015.) At the time I think the government stopped sending out notifications for applying, so we waited. We applied through our migration agent who applied via post. Since then, we haven't heard anything back from immigration and our migration agent keeps telling us to sit back and wait patiently. However, I believe it is now 17 months since we applied, and 24 months since we were eligible. I was wondering if I should contact the immigration department through an enquiry form, and ask if there's any updates or if we need to upload anymore documents.

Are we asking a bit too soon (should we wait a bit longer til at least may 2020)? If not, can someone share their experience with the enquiry form. What did you write in the form, that may have prompted them to look at your case. Just a bit worried that they'll see it as us nagging, but obviously it's a bit hard for us to plan our future when we're not told what's happening in the near future.

Summary (updated)
820 applied: Sept 15, 2015
820 visa granted: Sept 21st, 2015
801 visa eligibility: should have been sept 2017
801 visa actually applied: May 31, 2018
(applied via post, through same migration agent, both times)
Currently still waiting, no news and haven't heard anything from immigration.

Thank you!!
hi there, i read your all conservation! first of all if you not happy with your agent just withdraw her/him with sign form 956a! make a call to immi number that is 131881 and give them your current email address.as you said that you lodged your application after few months later, you were eligible after two years since when you you lodged 820/801.you been eligible sept 2017 as you mentioned!so your processing time was started from sept 2017 not from 31 may 2018 when u submitted your 801 application.one of my friend he also applied for his wife 801 after one year of 801 eligibility! they got grant with in 2 months just requested them police clearance after they upload with in one week they got 801 and also they from high risk country.good luck

I have just been granted 801 visa
My husband had a call from CO and an email to confirm.
This happened after we uploaded my latest National Police Check last week.

Thank you so much for your helps especially JandE

I have vietnamese international license and carry vietnamese passport.
My question is
Because I am now a permanent resident in Australia, do I must have a South Australia drivers license to drive my car?
