I have vietnamese international license and carry vietnamese passport.
My question is
Because I am now a permanent resident in Australia, do I must have a South Australia drivers license to drive my car?
Congratulations.

Regarding driver licence.

Once you become a permanent resident of South Australia, you must get your South Australian driver's licence within ninety days.

After 90 days you could get done for driving without a licence.

The fine is not cheap.

Thank you
CO called my husband on the phone because she could not find the updated police check that he have uploaded the other week.
He asked her to check it in his attachments in ImmiAccount (as my sponsor), waited for a few moments, then CO said yes, she has found it and I got the grant.
Moments later, CO sent him an email to confirm.
Visa was granted about two weeks after he uploaded my police check.

I just submitted my 801 application two weeks ago.

820 submission : 08/11/2016

Request for health examination and AFP: 26/01/2017

820 Granted : 13/02/2017

Received notice from IMM about submitting the 801 application 08/10/2019

801 submission: 08/10/2019

I tried very hard to organize and upload all the supporting documents onto the application within the last 2 weeks, now the status of my application is in further assessment, which I know probably indicates nothing. Hopefully the good news is just around the corner.

It may not actually take too long. They seem to go by eligibility date, so you are at almost 12 months waiting already.

A couple of examples of similar situations:

Eligible:15/05/18
Applied: 15/05/19 - 12 months late
Granted: 04/06/19
12.7 months after eligibility
20 days after application

Eligible:20/05/18
Applied: 30/06/19 - 13 months late
Granted: 23/07/19
14.1 months after eligibility
23 days after application

Yours:
Eligible:08/11/18
Applied: 08/10/19 - 11 months late
Granted: ??/??/??

You got your 820 only 3 months after submission that's very quick.

Lucky you I think most wait much longer for 820 Grant.

No, you shouldn't need new police clearances for the 801 if they were supplied during the 820. However, that is only if you or the sponsor has stayed in Australia the whole time and haven't spent 12 months or more in another place. Sometimes, they do request new PCCs.

Also, for the 801, the sponsor doesn't have an application like the 820. Instead, the sponsor fills out a sponsor's Statutory Declaration. You can find that here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/form...ec_sponsor.pdf

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much for this it's very helpful.

I'm wondering if anyone knows where to find online a list of mandatory requirements/ documents to apply for the 801 visa? I really need to submit (eligible since June) but we have a newborn baby and finding the time is so hard as well as researching the requirements. I just want to submit but don't want to screw it up by missing an essential document. I checked home affairs website but didn't see it.

Hi everyone. I have a question about Statutory Declaration for 801 application.

Does the applicant and sponsor both need to write Statutory Declaration - Partner visa (sponsor) each?

Many thanks

I think only the sponsor needs to support with a statutory declaration, the applicant is not required to do so.
