Our agent was hopeful that this would happen for us as we were long term relationship with an Australian Citizen child. It did not happen and now it seems we are in a longer line than most others despite our long term relationship, and now 2 Australian Citizen children. WTF!
Is that why your username is 2aussiekids? 😃

Hi guys. I have been granted a permanent visa few weeks ago but my wife and I just had a baby a week ago. Now my question is: Should I still inform the home affairs office by providing an update using form 1022 and if yes, to what email address should I write to with the attached form? Thanks in advance....

KeefOnion, my dad got both 820 and 801 granted at 16 months. He did write a letter to the CO requesting 801 though when the CO emailed asking for further info. I guess he got both before 24 months because my parents already married for like 48 years.

Congrats on a new born were you granted 801 visa before the baby is born? If yes dont think you need to inform home affairs. You and your wife just need to apply for the baby's birth certificate and also medicare so his name is on your wife's card.

After 18 long months of waiting and applying for our partner visa we have heard back again and I have been requested to provide some more information like police checks for myself and form 80. My partner was asked to do her police checks last year December.
We have been together for about 4 years now and were living together for about 9months when we applied for our visa. Is there something we can do now to speed up our process and perhaps be considered to get both our 820 and 801 approved together?.. Would appreciate some feedback or tips on this. Thanks

Sounds like your about to get a grant!

You could email your CO and ask for both, no harm in trying you will only get a yes or a no!

But application submitted on 13/01/2019
So total waiting time is 9 months and 12 days

Wish everyone the best!!
