Hi everyone
I am a long time lurker first time poster
I wanted to share my husbands timeline in case it helps to give hope to others in similar situation
(My husband was unlawful in the country as he had overstayed his student visa)

-Applied for visa (820/801) through migration agent on the 30th of June 2017 ( I was 3 months pregnant at the time of applying)
-On the 5th of September 2017 we received an email that my husbands visa was refused and he had 35 days to leave the country
-8th of September 2017 we put in application to appeal decision with AAT
-30th of May 2019 we had our hearing with AAT **
-10th of July 2019 our case was successful with AAT and was remitted back to immigration
-8th of October 2019 they requested to get a DNA test for our son to prove both that my husband was his father and he was my child
-24th of October they requested a medical examination
-1st of November 2019 we received my husbands 801 visa

**We found out during our AAT hearing that immigration had received an anonymous letter from someone stating that our relationship was not genuine and my husband was paying me to stay in the country. We immediately knew that it was from my husbands ex as she had told him she would try everything to get him deported after their relationship went south. The AAT member quickly dismissed it, as she believed it was sent under an ulterior motive. We believe this is why his visa was firstly refused.

We feel extremely great full to have skipped straight to the 801 visa
It felt like we had been waiting a lifetime for good news
