Please update your flag here .

Quick question regarding the writing of our own personal statements outling our relationship. Do I start at the very beginning and talk about how we first met, how our relationship developed etc the same as I did in the personal stat Dec for the 820 visa? Or do I not include any of that and simply talk about the last 2 years since we lodged the 820 application?

Thanks

You need to write about what and how your relationship progressed over last 2 years. How your commitment to each other evolved and what events in relationship took place.

I can't see any reason why you would need to.

The baby will be an Australian citizen. No need for Immigration to be involved. I assume the birth is in Australia?

If in another country then, a passport would be needed, which would involve the Citizenship side of Immigration.

Yes, Im giving birth here in Australia. I wasn't sure if I need to notify immigration or not. Just checking with people who have better knowledge than I do

Hey everyone, me again. Just wanting to check- i looked at the required docs for the 801 application and can see that no police check is required for the 801 if you included one in the 820 application.
Did anyone include a new police check anyway?

And did anyone upload more/new pictures and messages for additional proof of the relationship? As it doesn't say this is required but if it helps the application, is it worth adding them in anyway?

Thanks so much!
Amy. Xx

You need to provide a new Police Check when they request it as it's valid only one year. Also, yes, you need to provide new pictures as a proof of continues relationship. Basically the more proof the better.

I applied 2019 May for my 801 visa. It’s such a slow process, anybody on the same boat? I was hoping it was going to take long but the waiting list is outrages. I am curious to where all the case officers are from? I read 220 thousand applicants applied last year, I take it this is why it’s so slow. As there are thag much paper work and probably around 10 of them in the office in Sydney then we’re gonna be waiting for years. Think my 820 my case officer was from Indonesia.

A few 801 Grants, on the forum, with eligibility dates in March 2019
Granted: 02/11/19 after 7.8 months
Granted: 06/12/19 after 8.7 months
Granted: 11/12/19 after 8.9 months

None of those with eligibility dates in April 2019 (four that I have seen) are shown as granted yet.

The average processing time for the 26,095 subclass 801 visas finalised in the 2018/19 year was 438 calendar days (14.4 months). With 75% being done in under 593 days (19.5 months).

So about 9 months is pretty quick.

In November 2019, 75% of the 801's took under 16 months. It seems this year 2019/20 is getting faster.

Thank you.

Has anyone studied, while being on the 820 visa. I translated my trade from the Uk to Australian license. Hope that helps my case too. Just curious if anyone else has been to Tafe or uni?

Thanks tony
