28 years kld, from UK.

Submitted my partner visa application in December 2017.

Currently in month 25 of waiting and have not received an 820 or 801 visa yet. My IMMI application status is currently 'application received'

I've heard that once people exceed 24 months of waiting without an 820 grant, it is likely that they will get the 820 and 801 granted together.

Has this happened to anyone recently, and if so, how long did you wait to get both approved at the same time?

The last 3 that I have seen, from the UK, that went direct to 801, took 19.5 months (2017 application), 16.1 months (2018 application) and 20.9 months (2018 application) from 820 Application date.

Might be worth checking over your application, see if you have missed anything. Especially if only at application received stage.

Most recent 820's have taken about 16 months for UK applicants.

What visa was it before the 820 application?

Before applying for my partner visa I was on my second working holiday visa.

I've submitted everything they should need, including police checks (renewed at 24 months), 888 statements and personal statements (renewed at 24 months) and my medical.

I've consistently uploaded photographs and bank statements throughout my wait time and have recently signed another 13 month lease with my partner. We have a wealth of evidence uploaded.

No idea what is going on, but I hope someone looks at it soon and approves both. I'm studying at present and I'm having to pay international fees (expensive!) as a temporary resident. Still have to apply for bridging visa B if I want to leave also. Very inconvenient 😞

Hello everyone, I have been reading people’s post and hoping I will get a good news myself. Today my both 820/801 were granted at the same time, my visa was lodged on the 4/01/18 ,apirl 2019 more information was requested, both medical and police checks done in August , on the 6/01/20 both 820/801 were granted. I am so happy. My story is a long one, but it’s all history. Please be hopeful yours is around the corner.

Hey,

Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping to get both of mine approved at the same time. I've been waiting 25 months with no 820 or 801.

Do you mind providing info on your situation?

Where are you from? How long have you been in your de facto relationship for?

In your situation I would send an email asking if they are still waiting for anything from you, as you have been waiting for 25 months now.

Basically just as a gentle reminder.

My story is a long one, I came here on a student visa, finished studying applied for employer sponsored visa, I met the criteria but my sponsor didn’t, visa was refused, went to Tribunal it was refused, going back home wasn’t an option for me, applied for a protection visa it was refused, I stayed in the country without visa for over two years, was then planing on going back home, then met my wife, we got in Jan2017, had our son October 2017, applied for both 820/801, got granted today 6/01/20
