We just received our grant for 801 today!

Received a quick call from an Immigration Officer to verify if I've completed my AFP police check. I informed her that I submitted during stage 820, and she checked again and confirmed they have it.

She then confirmed if I still live in the same address, and whether it is a rental or our own property.

Barely 5 minutes later, I received the grant letter.

Our timeline included and updated below. Processing from Victoria.

Our history:
Stage 1
20 Jun 2017 - Applied for 820
12 Oct 2017 - Received request for more information including health checks
6 Dec 2017 - Submitted all required information
12 Dec 2017 - Granted 820

Stage 2
20 May 2019 - Received notification of eligibility for 801
24 June 2019 - Submitted application for 801 including all documents
10 Dec 2019 - Uploaded updated documents on health insurance, beneficiary statement for super and ATO tax lodgement
12 Februay 2020 - Received a call to verify on AFP check and grant letter

As many have noted, the document categories didn't come up as they have for 820 application. So I uploaded everything into Other Documents and label them accordingly to reflect the 4 main categories. See attached images for ideas.

Also my application went on to "Further Assessment" status within a few hours of submitting the application.

Sounds like you are still on the Bridging visa, not the 820.

If I was you, I would be sending a request to find out why the delay, as most of the Sept 2017 applications, that I have seen on the forum, were granted in 2018.

What is the nationality?
Taiwanese.

Hi Peter, we applied ourselves without an agent.

I have read that some people uploaded scans, but I guess they would need parents names on them to have a value.

As you have travelled back and forward three times, have you uploaded flight tickets/boarding cards for both of you, for each trip?
Yeah, we've kept them updated with all our movements, both during the 820 and 801 application process. And I'll be sure to do that
