Hi Shelly,

Just looking at my feedback from Home Affairs email again, and they too mention that my application is within their published processing times, but at the end they do say my correspondence will be sent to the relevant processing area for information. Was that included in yours?

Honestly, it can't be long to go as Dcaz92 just got his GRANT today after filling out that form, and he sent it only a day or two ago like yourself.

GOOD LUCK

yes, someone actually replied to me today

I understand from your feedback that you are concerned about the length of time taken to process your visa application and that you are requesting the application be finalised as soon as possible.
I have reviewed your application and can confirm that it is still under active consideration.
The Departmentís current average processing time for Permanent applications is between 12 to 19 months from date of eligibility (two years after lodgement of the 820/801 application).
The processing times are updated regularly on the Departmentís website and we encourage you to check the following link:
https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about...ocessing-times

I appreciate that your application has to date taken longer than the current average processing time. However, average processing times are in fact only an average and processing times can and do vary on a case by case basis. Regardless of the amount of time that has passed since the application was lodged, the delegate must first ensure that all
relevant criteria has been addressed before they can determine whether the application is forgrant or refusal.

Congratulation Dcaz92 when you get some good news

So far i have submitted all our bills, rents, family events, our holiday tickets... anything i can think of and i kept updating every few months
They event called and confirmed with my husband whether we are still together, just really dont know why

Hi Shelly,

Yay they replied and looking at other online forums, "under active consideration" appears to mean you are in the last stage of the approval process.

If you don't get another response, I would fill out another online form in a week or so and just keep bugging them until they give you your GRANT.

GOOD LUCK

820 Applied: May 2017
820 Granted: November 2018
801 Applied: July 2019

Talking Grant got on a Saturday as well

Hi guys,

Just letting you know that I finally got my 801 as well on Saturday (yesterday) at 1pm, wasn't expecting it at all that immi is even open on Saturdays!

I didn't do anything special, I just uploaded the land and building contracts last December.

Timeline:
May 2017 applied for 820
April 2018 got 820
May 2019 eligibility for 801
Feb 2020 granted 801

Good luck everyone! it's a really long and mentally grueling process, and can happen even on a Saturday.
